I even tried several in the set to see if the sturdiness of the first pair was a fluke... not a difference. The size is a big improvement compared to the standard... not small, but not too big. There are so many in the pack that I never have to hunt around for a spare. Eliminates the annoyance when you forget to go to that aisle in the supermarket!! I don't need more, but wanted to buy another pack just because they are such a great change from the name brands, like goody. No more spending too much money, only to be frustrated when they break. Highly recommend!!!

**Q: Which pack would be brown?**
A: I bought black. Couldn’t use them because they slipped out, couldn’t “grab” the hair to stay.

**Q: Can these be used on the top of the head to hold a veil?**
A: Possibly. I never used mine because they slipped straight out of my hair, didn’t grab the hair to stay. Maybe if you put the comb THROUGH the fabric, it would stay. Otherwise, unless you have very curly, wiry hair which might hold the comb, don’t bother.

**Q: Some of these combs have blunt teeth and some have pointed teeth.  Which did you get?  Which works better to stay in place?**
A: I would say kind of in between, but they are shorter than I typically use. They stayed in place fine for me but I have really thick hair.

**Q: In your description it says "6 white pieces"....then you have choices to the right. I want to purchase all clear on black combs....is that No.2? thank**

I love these sturdy combs, they work well for holding my hair in a french roll or bun. I did not rate a 5 because of the tendency of the teeth to break off. i'm not sure what makes them brittle. I'm on my second package but this problem persists.
