Ferromel 20 ferrous sulphate Lawn Conditioner

The product is wonderful. Used it before and is does a great job of killing moss or greening the lawn up depending on dosage. However when purchasing the product it did not come with a warning that the carrier would be Parcelforce. This turned the whole experience into a nightmare. As usual there must have been some halfhearted attempt to alert me to their presence as I was in. So what do they do, leave a card stating they have delivered it to our local post office in Sherborne where there is no parking for hundred of metres. So as there is no parcel collection point anymore I queue up for 20 minutes amongst the stamp buying OAPs (who are lovely) and hand my card to a slip of a girl who quite rightly can't lift the 20kg bag! After much debate on who is allowed to lift such a weight I get the bag of Ferrous Sulphate given to me to carry down the road and as I said before several hundred metres. Thank you parcelforce. I think at point of ordering you should state the name of the carrier. In most cases the carriers are very good and in some cases exceptional. However Parcelforce are not on this planet when it comes to helping out.

I decided to apply it with a 5 Ltr hand sprayer that was purchased as a fence sprayer with fan nozzle this went as planned after following the first class guidance provided. I found that. the product mixed well with warm water in a plastic bucket and stirred with an old wooden spoon.The moss quickly turned black and the grass recovered almost instantly and now looks very comfortable .It is still to early to judge if I will need to do a second treatment. Area covered so far about a third of an acre. I still have a very large amount of the product left in the sack that it came in.

Does the job; good price; delivered on time

I used the whole 25kg on 475 sq mtrs in February on a lawn that was seeded last year. The casts were huge and caused a lot of damage especially with the constant wet weather we've been having these last few months. The result is excellent, so far there have been just the odd few casts appear since the application. I did not set the seed last year and since it is patchy in many places together with the worm casts, I will have it turfed and levelled and certainly this winter will apply the ferromel again and continue to do so every season because it's an excellent moss killer to boot. Check the ingredients of all the expensive proprietary moss killers, all contain ferrous sulphate.

Very good application and worked well on the moss , also very good nutrient feed balance and grass looked wonderful after treatment. First class

used strong, works well at killing the moss, can't say it exactly did wonders for the colour of the lawn, pretty much the same shade of green as it started out. it is messy in the sprayer, which needs a really good clean out afterwards, also would definately recomend a good mask and good gloves, fine dust gets everywhere.I'd buy it again as it is so much more effective for moss than previous weed feed mosskiller combo's i've used, and good value

Very happy with the speed and easy of delivery of the product to my door. (25Kg bag is not that easy when one has reached 86 yrs!) Pleased that the bag contents seem completely free of lumps so dissolving in water for application was no problem. And yes - it works.

Ideal for controlling moss plus the iron gives the lawn a growth boost but needs redoing after approximately 6 months unless the moss is completely raked out then it will last a lot longer.
