Katokichi - Takitate Gohan (instant Japanese rice) 3 Pack

Although this rice is expensive, it is well worth the purchase. If you're skeptical of it's value, maybe just a one time buy. The lightness and texture of this rice is absolutely perfect. I've never had such great quality rice in my life. I reccomend furkake or some other rice seasonings to make it taste even better.

I was never disappointed with this rice. It had the same consistency and flavor each time and went well with my seaweed snacks to make quick sushi at my desk at work for lunch.

UPDATE NOVEMBER 2016: This page is completely inaccurate. First, the rice is not Katokichi-Takitate - it's made by TableMark. Second, the package has two, not three. Third, the nutritional information on what I received is completely different (calories, sodium etc). Fourth, this rice was so bad I've asked for a full refund. I wouldn't even donate it to the local food bank.UPDATE & WARNING: I've ordered this rice twice now (November 2014), and received Shirakiku both times instead. Amazon were good about refunding my money, but still, if you get the wrong rice when you order this, contact them for a refund!

Not as good as Nishiki...On any on these pre cooked rice paks, it seems best to cook only 50-60 seconds.

I bought these on a whim when I saw them at a local store, and figured I'd try them out. I just had this rice, and heated up a pouch of teriyaki tuna:  Starkist Light Meat Tuna Fillets, Teriyaki, 5-Ounce Pouches (Pack of 10) The combination was filling and tasty, and took a whopping 2:15 total in the microwave. This is something I would buy again!

Quality Japanese rice. Delicious!
