Fangasm: Supernatural Fangirls

I started reading this book initially because I am a fan of Supernatural and in the last year have started attending Supernatural-specific conventions (Asylum in the UK). I found it very interesting to read another fan's point of view on how they discovered fandom and what it means to them. I love the fact that pretty much everything in this book resonated with feelings I have had since entering the fandom and I feel that it puts into words a lot of feelings, experiences and imaginings that I have had in a way that I never could.I would seriously recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of Supernatural or considers themselves part of the Supernatural-Family.I would ALSO recommend it to anyone who has friends/family/partner who is a part of this SPN Family (or any other fandom for that matter), as I think it would help them understand why this is such an important part of our lives (in a surprisingly fun,entertaining, sometimes emotional way).

Great book, fabulous price because of a few small marks to page edges that I can’t even see! Looking forward to reading some1 else’s perspective of what I have come to know as the SPN Family.

Big Supernatural fan but this book i did not find interesting.Tried to read a couple of times but nothing gripping about the story.Delivery was good though

This book is wonderful. It honestly and openly captures the conflicting emotions of being an adult fangirl, without shying away from controversy or judging the more "taboo" elements of fandom. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone from any fandom. This book is not just in relation to the Supernatural fandom, it uses it as example of a subcultural phenomenon that is generally belittled and overlooked. READ IT. :)

Enjoyed this book

I loved this book and got quite emotional reading it, in a good way.It gave me new insights into my own identity as a fan, fascinating inside information into the world of the Supernatural production team and a better understanding of the world of fandom.I've leant it to my non-fannish friends to help them understand my fangirlish ways.

This is the perfect book for any supernatural fan, I adored it, it made me feel less like a crazy stalker obsessed with this wonderful show as I realised I am certainly not alone in my fascination with supernatural and the lovely Winchester brothers, love it

I couldn't put this book down.It was a very enjoyable and educating read.I thought my obsession with Supernatural was a bit weird but after reading this book I know I'm definitely not alone!Well done to the authors.Hoping for more books in the future.
