We are super impressed with this scale and highly recommend it!!!Firstly, the packaging box was well designed protecting the scale because I accidently dropped it!I was worried that it's broken, knowing there was glass component of the scale.Out of the box, the scale was unscathed and hello... good looking!We love the modern look with tempered glass surface, it's slim and stored nicely in our kitchen drawer, surprisingly lightweight too. We are big fan of and appreciate high quality products, this scale definitely ticked all the boxes.Secondly, self-powered feature is amazing, no battery required nor AC power to plug in. Just turn the U-power button and it powers itself, how good is that. No hassles of running out and buying batteries, no annoying power cord plus saving on electricity.Thirdly, it's accurate and easy to use with wide range of unit measurements (gram, oz, lb+oz, ml (for water) & ml (for milk) also tare function. We love cooking and baking, so scale is essential.We particularly like that it can measure water and milk accurately. We often use containers for different ingredients when baking, tare function makes it very easy without having to readjust the scale or calculate the weight.Compared to other four scales we have/had, this is by far the best one. The Cuisine Elite U-Power kitchen scale combines sleek elegance with the virtue of easy use. It's simple and efficient––no batteries, no resetting, etc. It arrived well-packaged and accompanied by easy-to-follow instructions (although I hardly needed to read them, it's so self-explanatory!). Simply turn the U-power button until the screen shows numbers, then zeroes out. Put on the item you want to weigh, and the reading will adjust within a couple seconds. Once you take the item off it automatically zeroes out again. You can also change the units you want to measure in (g/oz/lb etc) using a "unit key" on the back of the scale.The scale also comes with a "TARE" function that makes weighing food in containers easy, without making you do the math of subtracting the weight of the container. All you have to do is weigh the container alone first, then touch the TARE button to clear the weight of the container. Then you can put the food into the container and weigh it, and the scale will automatically subtract the container's weight to provide you purely with the weight of the food.I highly recommend the Cuisine Elite U-Power kitchen scale based on its simple everyday use and eco-friendly technology. It's perfect for regular kitchen use. So many times in the past I've been putting together a recipe when I've come to an ingredient given in weight, not volume. This Scale is exactly what I was looking for!! It is easy to use! This product works exactly how it is described. I love the fact that it is battery free!! It powers itself and no cord to plug in. Excellent product, could tell from receipt of the product it was of high standard due to the packaging. Have used it for a few recipes and found it Lightweight, easy to clean, super easy to use and love that it needs no batteries and the slim design makes it easy to store away or due to the elegent style it can be displayed in any style kitchen . The Tare function is easy to use. Would recommend for novice up to professional cooks.

This works much better than my old kitchen scale - and NO BATTERIES! Worked like a charm on the on-line British recipes I have collected which list all the ingredients in grams. Now, if it only would convert Centigrade to Fahrenheit.

Was using this for making pour over coffee and worked great and was easy to clean. The only thing you need to worry about is to work quickly so battery isn't depleted. Had a couple of times where I was distracted after I had tared the scale and scale turned off in middle of pouring water in.

I do love this scale especially because I don’t need batteries, ever! The small button on the back is the most annoying thing because if you want to change from grams to ounces or something else, You have to pick up the scale and press the button. Not that big a deal but you would think they could’ve put that on top somewhere.

Meets my needs. I like the non battery feature, the sleek look, and the convenient size. I’m not a huge cook, but like to track my calories.
