does this dimmer have 'push in' knob to switch the lights off or you can only turn?

...Boo! I think turn/twist on/off is a better design than push on - they often come on on full power, as left, which obviously shocks the light and often kills them (especially filament bulbs). But, it says these have 'soft start' and you can push them on with your shoulder when your hands are full. But, I'd rather have instant turn/twist on dimmers without the soft start delay. Turn on low load (10w minimum) don't seem to exist (cheaply). :(

What depth of wall box is required to mount this dimmer switch?

25mm wall box would be adequate depth for the wall box to fit the JQP401W

I have 4 5w LED bulbs(2 trafos in between), set in mode 3, dimming part is working, but regularly the lights start flickering, what can I do?

You need two things to dim LED lighting - 1) a 'trailing edge' LED dimmer - not a conventional dimmer (these have 'Leading edge' dimming, which is no good for LED) 2) dimmable LED bulbs (or dimmable LED bulb+transformer combination) If either of these is missing the LED bulbs will not dim properly and may well flicker too.

Can i use this with a standard bedroom light socket?

Hi Dafydd,Yes you can replace your ordinary light switch with this dimmer and replace your normal bulb with an LED or low energy lampin the same lampholder. I bought a Varilight dimmable low energy compact fluorescent to go with it, but found it to flicker at somebrightness settings. I tried all the possible settings on the dimmer to no avail. It may work better with an LED lamp, but I don't have any to try it with.Regards,Paul G
