After my expensive, very, very unreliable baby scale died, I bought this food scale to weigh my 2 cats. I thought that it might be nearly impossible to weigh them since the food scale is so tiny, but I was willing to try. Worst-case scenario, I’d either have a new food scale (after a thorough cleaning) or I would have to fabricate and Velcro a cat-friendly tray to the scale. But, great news! The scale worked perfectly as-is for my extremely active cats! I simply put an old dish towel on the scale, hit the TARE button to zero it out, and each cat climbed onto the scale to sit on the towel. In fact, they kept climbing on it so I had to put the scale away (which is easy since it can be hung). Maybe the scale with the towel reminded them of my laptop, where they always love to sit. Bottom line, I’m very satisfied with this scale. It is easy to tare and easy to read. I can‘t speak to its durability since I just received it, but given its low price, I’m not worried.

I'm extremely happy with this little scale. It comes packaged well in a cloth sleeve that's used to store it, which also features a handy loop for hanging (cooks love to keep things in arm's reach). The two included batteries made the display light up brilliantly, and the two-button operation for the unit couldn't be simpler. One button switches between units, the other button gives you quick access to set the tare weight. The stainless top plate is nice, this thing is not flimsy, and it's extremely easy to read (tested this when it arrived early this morning while plenty of competing early sunlight was hitting my counter).I also like how it has a divet on the back for an additional hanging option, and pretty thick rubber feet that I don't think will have a problem with coming off and causing a wobble later (which would be a tremendous inconvenience for something like a scale).All in all, for the price, you can't go wrong here. It's definitely of good quality, it features all common units used in most modern and old recipes and it's extremely easy to read and operate.I'm always going to keep our old-style spring model for the sake of having it, but this one is going to be the one I'll use the most. So, if you're like I was and looking at a large quantity of choices, this won't be a bad choice at all, and you can put the $10 you save toward something else.

Scale arrived promptly. Looks great and instructions are easy to follow. The auto-off function (device shuts off after 60 seconds or so of inactivity) works great. However, there appears to be an auto-on function as well. The device display lights up 20 minutes after shutting down. This is when the device is across the room, nothing is on it, and it has not been disturbed. I am concerned this will drain the batteries.Either there is some poor soldering inside or the scale has been poorly programmed. Whichever is the case, I am disinclined to recommend this purchase.UPDATE: The scale has stopped misbehaving (perhaps it was going thru internal diagnostics after its first startup?) and is functioning as expected. In addition, the manufacturer reached out to me and offered a replacement scale, free of charge (which I did not accept as my scale had started working properly). I am changing my rating from 2 stars to 5 and recommend this scale as a good buy for its price point.

Came in one piece with batteries. Did not appear damaged in any way upon arrival. Feels very light. Not packaged in a box, but in a bag with some light bubble wrap. Appears to be realtively accurate and consistant, but if the item being measured is off to one side the reading may vary slightly. The buttons are very sensative. I initially put it away in the included bag but noticed the display came on. I recommend removing the batteries for storage. I only just recieved this item and have not extensively tested it, or compared it to other scales. I ordered this to be able to do some simple measurements of food or misc. items and I believe it will do the job well enough.

Intuitive, nice looking, sensible design. I love that there is a wall mount hole on the back. Also - these are great for smoothie enthusiasts and people who like the power of cooking by a recipe. In my smoothies for instance I like about .5 oz of raw organic ginger. It kicks you - but .6oz starts to kick a little too hard and .4oz doesn't quite deliver it. It's a good example of how having precise weight measurements can help you make a more reliably perfect recipe - even if it is one you know well. Anyways- this particular scale is quite nice, especially for the price. I've used it for mail as well.

This scale is great and I use it all the time. Only problem is I weigh a lot of comics for shipping and they have a tendency to hang of the edge. I think the four sensors are great but probably what is causing my issues. I have defeated this by putting a small mail organizer on the scale and tearing the weight. This has solved most of my problems.I use the ounces setting most and it works great.Also this was the only one I found in this price point that could handle 22 pounds. Most in this price range top out at around 11 pounds.This is a great scale at this price point and I am happy with my purchase.

I send a lot of cards via snail mail...I needed a scale to weigh envelopes that may weigh more than 1 oz....The first one I weighed was a card weighing .08 oz...the local post office weight was 1.0 oz...a difference .02 oz..The directions do not indicate that this scale can be calibrated so I will assume it is .02 oz off...No big deal for me but it maybe for someone who needs an accurate weight...that's why the 4 stars...

I love the options for weighing items in different measures like grams, milliliters, ounces and pounds. I love that it takes up so little space. My only negative is that the directions are not written by someone who speaks English as a first language. I I did some digging on line to figure out how to weigh a container, then the item and get just item weight. The directions for this were not at all clear.
