Overall, Nicer Than I Expected... And QUIET!
Based on the Amazon comments, I was expecting it to look a lot worse than it does. The build quality is actually pretty good, although the wheels rub a bit when it rolls, they forgot the drain valve, it doesn't sit level so the water will pool at the front end of the tank instead of draining properly, and a little plastic piece was broken on top after the 75 mile FedEx trip. It's surprisingly quiet, though. I could probably have a phone conversation standing next to it. Once I installed the inlet air filter (provided) and plugged the drain hole, it's not much louder than my laser printer.I was expecting the two gauges and the pressure regulator, but I wasn't expecting the water separator. That was a nice bonus.I have a perfectly good little Porter Cable air compressor in my shop with almost exactly the same capacities, and it's so loud it's probably been damaging my kidneys. Maybe I should have put it in a theft proof, weather proof, breathable, sound dampening box out on the patio and run the air back into my shop, but instead, I bought this Chinese made air compressor for almost a hundred bucks more than the Porter Cable because it's about 30 dB quieter. It's discouraging that there hasn't been a major manufacturer like Porter Cable, Dewalt, or Hitachi that recognized the market for a quiet compressor. I think most home and business consumers would pay more for a quieter compressor, and many of us would pay a lot more.I added a 1/8" NPT fitting and some tubing to a convenient ball valve to drain the water from the tank. I put a spacer under the front pad to level the tank so it'd drain properly. If I rolled it around much, I'd make some 1/4" bushings to add some separation between the wheels and the wheel mounting brackets. But for now, I'm enjoying the quiet in my shop.

Does what it says
I bought this cause I wanted something I could use in the apartment. However, its not quiet enough to use at night, and it does vibrate a lot. Db meter on my phone says 60 even standing close to it just like advertised. I went and measured some other stuff the red porter cable measures 80 db. My dishwasher measures 60. Its actually a lot quieter without the wheels, they rattle and rub the tank. I just propped it up on blocks to keep it level. The wheels also smell terrible. Hopefully the compressor outlasts the rubber smell that comes out when it's charging. The loudest thing about it is the god awful package they dropped on my doorstep without a signature! It was screaming steal me for hours until I got home from work. On an order over 200 dollars I'd expect delivery confirmation with signature, I didnt see an option for it during checkout. The gauge attaches to the moisture trap so if you turn it sideways the trap doesnt work 100%. I say thanks for that every time I have to lay on the floor to read the psi. After all that I still give 4 stars because it has decent power, was affordable, its just as quiet if not more quiet than the rolair, it has a bigger tank size and it does the job. I moved it to my shop cause i was tired of the 1.75 hp oil bath compressor (75 db) I have dimming the lights and making a racket. Its much nicer and I've even talked on the phone over the GMC running with no trouble. I run a heavy duty pneumatic machine (mitre mite vn 42), and various nailers with it with minimal charging.

Nice compressor but.........
Great compressor but.... per other reviews required 4 washers on each wheel to keep them from wobbling around and rubbing the tank. The unit also arrived without a tank drain. Contacted customer service who was prompt and courteous but sent me the wrong sized drain plug. Finally went to Home Depot and bought a 1/4" NPT drain for $3.39. The unit works great for my airbrush and detail spray gun. Quiet as advertised and included moisture trap is a plus. I would rate the compressor a 5 so far but due to the fact that it came in with minor issues that have chewed up my gas money, pocket change and time, drops it down to a 4.Pros:Quiet as advertisedQuick to pressurize tankMoisture trap includedOillessWorks great around the shop with airbrushes and LPHV detail spray gun used for large RC modelsLocking regulator knobCons:Arrived without a tank drain plugNeeded to add washers to wheels as noted in other reviewsIt would be nice if the guages where angled or facing up so you didn't have to get down on your hands and knees with a flashlight to read and set them. The price on Amazon dropped $15 two weeks after I purchased the unit plus 3.39 and gas for a drain plug that fit.

This is really quiet.
I wasn't sure if I could believe the youtube showing the loudness of this unit. My current compressor is 150ft from where I work and I still have to wear hear protection when it's on. My garage is below the house and every time I turned on the compressor I'd hear about from you know who.I hooked this GMC up yesterday right next to my lathe and don't need protection even within 6 feet. I went upstairs and asked my wife how the sound was and she didn't even know I had the unit on.I like the silver color. This thing puts out more air than I'll ever need. I mainly use it to blow sawdust around the shop and blow up tires and toys for the Grandkids.Pros: Quiet, great pressure, small and on wheelsCons: Operating manual - I still can't get the output pressure to adjust otherwise I would give it 5 stars. I found out that you have to lift the adjustment to get it to turn - I triied pliers and almost blew it off. They need a picture with the controls numbered then cross referenced in the manual. If this is your first compressor you'll never figure them out.
