Fun as heck, but takes some practice.
Love it. All toys have a learning curve, be smart and take a day to figure out how to get your warrior to move the way you want.Definitely differences between warriors. The 2 handed sword wielding Samuri seems to be winning most of the early matches. Strong fore/backswing there and I assume it is from having both geared arms connected to the weapon. Samuri is a bit harder to control though, the big swing makes him veer to the right. Contrary to instincts, I ended up turning the Ninja scythes pointing outside/away from the enemy after a string of losses. Had better luck that way. Ninja faired well attacking the Samuri from behind and sweeping the legs with the outward pointed scythes. The ninjas seperate weapons create more balance in movement. Swinging L/R moved the Ninja more evenly than the Samuri's big swing jerking it clockwise. Learn it, play it. Extremely fun R/C play once you get the hang of it.Now it got 4 stars for a reason. The one complaint really irks me, the ring. The ring is shaped lije a Title Belt and in doing so created corners pointed inward the pic does not show well. Bots get stuck there easily. Ring needs to be rounded to get rid of this hindrance.

Is ok
Decent toy. The bots just move forward left and forward right while swinging up and down. The movement is not very consistent. Not a bad toy, just not a great one either. It is hard to get a real battle going where one knocks the other over. the two weapon one tends to fall over on its own sometimes if you get it swinging. Not worth buying more than one or the other themed set of bots.

Worth the $15 - not more
I bought this as a present for my nephew and was able to get it for $15 instead of the usual $60. For $15 it was worth three stars. The boys were able to swing their arms around and the characters moved accordingly. It was a huge battery burner but it was a fun afternoon. If I had paid $60 I would've given it one star and been sorely disappointed because it would not have been worth it.

Not much of a battle
My son loves these for now and asks to play them over and over but we spend most of our time trying to get our bots to get out of the corners of the arena. There is very little actual fighting going on. Like I said, my 6 year old son loves them but my 4 year old daughter was bored the very first time she played.

Broke after 4 hours
I bought this for my nephew for Christmas and it broke on Christmas day.It was fun while it worked, but it was hard for him (3 years old) to understand, and even my little sister (6 years old) had trouble figuring it out. My 10 year old sister understood the concept and was interested in it, but the most interested was probably my nephew's dad (28 years old). The batteries lasted for about 15 minutes before it needed recharged. After about 4 hours of play, the red samurai's sword broke off and could not be superglued back on due to the slickness of the plastic.Overall, I would not purchase again.

Fun for all ages!
These things are fantastic. We just got them so I can't speak to the durability yet but they are good fun. They are a bit hard to control but we like them. From my son:"I like them cuz they are really fun..and..like..so...and..um I keep beating my mom with the samurai by raising my weapon above her ninja and she falls"20 bucks is money well spent for two fighters and an arena. They are keeping a 7 year old, a 45 year old and a 47 year old highly entertained.

Difficult
I gave this to my 11 year old grandson for Christmas. He played it with his uncle and also with his father but found it very difficult to use. Since the time for returning it expired, I have just put it away for now in the hopes that perhaps in the future he will use it.

Ninja never worked :(
The ninja wouldn’t work at all right out of the box. Already threw away the box or I would return. I like the idea of this though...my son was so excited to get this he played with the other one that worked for awhile.

Controls a very hard to use, and even once they've been master the moment is frustrating at best. I would consider myself extremely patient and typically quick to learn with difficult controls, but this just doesnt work well. I would pass on this toy no matter the price, its not worth the batteries.
