The cheapest solution is a new fountain, sadly. I read other reviews of the item and learned that the electronics are subject to frequent failures and that the fountain just stops working. Mine still works but I can't get the blue light on as it always switches to red, regardless of water levels. Personally, I will try a different fountain when this one breaks.
