WORKPRO 190 mm Wire Rope Cutter, Cr-V Steel Wire Cutting Pliers

One of my best purchases. Just used to cut cycle brake cables and the cut is perfect with no fraying. These cutters are going to be used across a range of wires and I have very high expectations that they will perform well. The build quality is superb and I would hope for years of use. Would certainly recommend with confidence in the product.

Worked a treat. No more unravelling cables when cut. Fitted new brake and gear cables to my bike. Also cuts the outer sheath the same. Thoroughly recommended.

Very well made cutters that work well. However, if you have small hands you will struggle to operate them to their full potential, as the grips open up to 18.5 cm, which is a huge span. I am only able to use them by placing my hand at the top of the grips, where the span is less, which is fine for thin wire, but no use for tougher wire.

Easily cut through stainless-steel bike cables like a pair of scissors cutting through paper. Nice to be able to hold the tool in one hand while holding the bike with the other. I've bought a few Workpro tools now and they always seem to offer affordable reliable tools that are up to the job.

Bought it to cut some spings ,Too small and broke straight away.

Delivery was excellent and the pliers cut well - no complaints there. BUT...the ergonomic design is very poor - the jaws, when open, are simply not long enough to let you target the wire at a distance (with outstretched arm). When held in one hand (how most people will hold these) the jaw opening is rather small, for me it was about 3mm, making it difficult to hit the wire. This afternoon I had to cut some 2mm fence wire and, although I have quite large hands, it was very difficult to get the wire at first hit - quite often I had to use 2 hands just to get a nice wide jaw opening over the wire then close the handle so I could snip using the one hand. It's a poor design really - I don't know how people with small hands will even manage to use it. The claimed effectiveness with 3/4/5mm wire is, in my opinion, nonsense - if you want to operate the pliers with one hand.

Tenía que cortar unos cables de acero bastante gruesos que quería poner en la terraza, y hace perfectamente su función. Corta una barbaridad, y lleva el sistema de "cierre" para que sea segura cuando no la estés utilizando. Muy buen producto.

After trying to get a clean cut with my Craftsman brand diagonal cutters and couldn't get a clean cut, I ordered this cable cutter to cut 1/8" stainless steel cable with the hopes it would give me a clean cut. I'll be using the cable to secure a large shade cloth in the backyard. It looks some decent hand gripping pressure but it made a clean cut. To lock the cutters you squeeze the handles together to close the handles then rotate the small wheel to lock the cutter.
