Book too simple. It basically lists Kali commands with not much mapping to real world scenarios. Too much wasted white space per page. Book could be consolidated to half the length.

I made it as far as "Configuring Kali Linux, Getting Started" which opened with where to download the 64-bit Kali Linux ISO and concluded with "We will use the virtual image in this chapter and customize it..."Which would be fine if I had access to VM ware, or wasn't running Kali on a standalone box. Its not that I don't how to install or configure Kali, rather its that if the book cannot be bothered to cover something so basic, I have to wonder what else is it missing.Thumbing through (well scrolling as I had the Kindle version), this looks like its a slightly more detailed version of the RTFM. It explains how to install and run some tool sets (git clone url/filename.git then ./filename.py), runs through one or two example parameters, shows some screen shots of the expected output, and then moves on to the next tool.It doesn't look like it ever tells you what you are looking or what you should be looking for. It really does strike me as RTFM with screen captures.Picture a cookbook, that lists all the ingredients you need to make a delicious meal, but never explains the order, how to mix the ingredients, or how long to cook the meal at what temperature.Three stars because the formatting on the kindle version looks good and the tool selection is solid.Just not enough substance for me to keep the book.

The most comprehensive resource on Kali that I've seen. Excellent resource if you want to understand ethical hacking and pen testing.

After so long i found a book that genuinely teaches me something!

If you haven't sat down and gone through your Kali Tool Set --- well buy this and it will give you some ideas - how to update and where they are. That's it people - it doesn't walk you through actual usage and final results. A good reference to look through - but it's not going to teach you anything like an actual recipe where you actually cook something and get an item you can eat. Should have been called Kali Linux Grocery List.

Very good book worth the purchase. It is interesting to note that at the bottom of the cover the following had been whited out "For Sale in India Only"Humm, Interesting indeed. This book does provide info in setting up Kali tools.

its the best book available in india to learn kali Linux penetration testing in a practical manner , don't waste your time and money by funding money on courses which costs 1000$ , rather but this type of books you can great a plenty amount of knowledge from them

Returned as book has a number of errors in syntax.

I ordered the book to get an understanding which tools are included in Kali and how they are working.What I got was a book which list some of the tools and gives one two examples of cli line. No information about the options and their use of thiscli command, no information about the tools itself,...Just a book of screenshots and no useful content.

Really nothing to learn in this book, just basic commands with no explanation of what they do or why they are used. Very, very very disappointed. It is really hard to believe that some people are commenting that this is the best Kali book and they learned something.
