PierShine 16.4ft 5m 300leds Smart Home Alexa/Google Assistant/Nest Supported WiFi Wireless RGB LED Strip Lights with UL Listed Adapter, 24 Keys Remote Control (Black roll)

I've ordered and received 3 different Piershine products... the nonwifi one, the small wifi one with usb, and the 5m 300led unit. I had an issue with the wifi usb one not working with the included remote (thanks to having a second identical unit with the 5m unit, I was able to confim/identify the problem as the controller itself), and a message to the vendor got an timely response, and a replacement sent right out by them.These units are RGB, but not indvidually addressable, so while you can change colors (via remote, phone app, and even Alexa), the patterns are only color change, not 'chase' or other things that would require turning some lights off and others on... In other words, all lights will be the same. You can dim, change them to music, or cycle thru colors (including customized palettes via app), though. I haven't tried Alexa yet (but will) but have no concerns about it working so far. The nonwifi unit is remote only, but it works well. The wifi units can be independent (they create a wifi access you login to) or they can be connected to your existing router if you give them login info. You can mass control units via the web, and I was told IFTTT access is coming soon.You can find these units elsewhere, but with Prime Shipping, these are a far better deal than ebaying on a slow boat from China. Excellent Customer Service too. Recommended, and I'll be buying more.

The app is pretty cool and has some fun features, but overall it's not quite what I was looking for. The LEDs get pretty warm and the colors don't run true at all compared to my Lifx bulbs, orange is beige and white is blue. My biggest complaint however is the wireless adapter that runs everything emits an extremely annoying high pitched squeal that changes pitch based on the color and intensity. I was able to hear it over my TV at a normal volume. The brightness is good, the colors are vibrant (just not accurate), but those few complaints just outweigh the good. I was really hopeful for this to work good, but that squealing noise is unbearable, maybe I just got a bad set?

I had 3 faulty green LED's on this strip, but they started working after a few minutes. The worst was the sticky backing came off on the backing tape. There was almost no stick on the LED strip so it was useless to me. I was going to return it, but I decided to get some additional mounting tape and try that rather than go through the hassle of returning. Be prepared to have other mounting options if you buy these.

These lights are great, they work perfect with Alexa and are way cheaoer thab Hue strips. I will definitly be getting more of these.
