( Note: I have only cut aluminum 1 1/2 round bar with them so far just to compare them to my others.) I could get a good finish to about 80 thou depth. at a tenth the chips fail to break and the finish suffers. I took 125 without breaking the cutter but made the machine work harder than it should have for that depth. results were similar for all 3 insert types.
