I bought some of these to replace the horrible versions I had before that didn't work too well and wouldn't stay shut. When cooking, I can't always just go straight to the big bottle oils come in because the pour can be WAY too much, but these are perfect for the "pour" and I can get just the amount I need and want on my foods when cooking. I was disappointed that the "spray" option was just a straight shot and not an actual spray (think about that I can't believe it's not butter spray commercial) when you do a spray option, you want it to spray outward and evenly and thinly, like the butter spray or a bottle of windex. This doesn't do that, it just darts out a straight shot of oil so I never use that option, which is the main reason why I chose this particular item because I wanted both items and having it condensed into one piece just seemed like a perfect no-brainer for me and less stuff in my kitchen! So I will have to keep a lookout for a proper multi-use piece unless this creator/manufacturer creates one where the spray option is more realistic and manageable.

I love this dispenser! If you just want a little mist or spray you can do that, or if you need to pour a small amount you can do that also. The top when turned will close the pour spout so that when you are using the spray you don't have to worry about any coming out from the spout, and when you want to pour just twist the top to open the pour spout!!! Highly recommended!!!

works for the purpose intended, but I was hoping the spray might be more of a mist than a straight stream... I realize that might be difficult with oil, but I'm sure it could be accomplished with the right kind of nozzle... also, it leaks more than I'd hoped...

Broke shortly after receiving it. And the spray pattern is a stream... not like a spray you would use to spray lets say "olive oil" on things.
