These cards are not of the same material as the Two Rooms and a Boom base game. They are paper while the base game's cards are plastic.

Great, one of the most "bang for your buck" expansions
This is a great little expansion. I'm surprised they charge so little for it. It's only a few cards, but they make a huge impact and are designed to make the game more playable with player counts under 11... & it does a really good job at it. For under $10 bucks, it's well worth it. Side note: you can look on the boardgamegeek page or the manufacturers website for playsets & player counts that work well with these cards.
