I was ready to return this Smart Plug when I got Pop Up Ads on my Android Phone after installing their Smart Life App . I contacted the Seller and found out I could install the App on my iPads . After installing the App on my iPad it was easy to set the Smart Plug to work with Alexa . My original App install on my Android Phone was an App from the Google Play Store . I tried downloading the App by Scanning the QR Code. I got a message that my settings Blocked the install of Downloaded Apps . I have to find where I can change that setting . I don't need the App on my Phone anyway . I have several Smart Plugs of other Brands including Belkin and Tp Link . The Smart Life App on my iPad works as well as Belkin Wemo and TP Link Kasa .Update to my Review: Here is a Tip I just read to get the Smart Life App onto your iPad . I suppose this will work on the iPhone too, I don't have one of those .You don't need a Third Party App to Scan the QR Code that is printed with your Instructions . You can use the Camera App to Scan the Qr Code . I just tried it and it did indeed Work to Open or Download the Smart Life App .

you need to scan the bar code to download the APP and install it before using this power control. remember to connect it to the WIFI. Quite easy to figure it out after following the instruction. Easy to control it by using the APP. Quite useful, especially for some one like, I use this power control for turning off the lights. SO I don't need to get up and turn off the lights before going to bed.

Might work for smaller appliances, but I would suggest the 15 amp plugs for larger appliances. This one fried as soon as I plugged in my evaporitive cooler.

The print on the instruction menu is quite small. Yet I managed to set up successfully. I feel my home is smarter now. :)
