I can't recommend this product enough! You'd never know that it wasn't brand new and that it's a refurbished product. I got this for my soon to be 3-year-old sons Christmas. I've been using it and setting it up for him and have had no issues whatsoever. This was an awesome choice for a first tablet for him because it was half the price of the kids fire 7, and there are tons of kids cases on Amazon that you can purchase to turn it into a bigger version of the kids Fire 7 except bigger and for a fraction of the price. I always buy my kids fire tablets, my 17-year old and 14-year-old kids also got fire tablets for Christmas as their first devices when they were 3 and 6 and they loved them. They really are a perfect choice for kids who are a little younger. I don't see the point in buying an expensive tablet for a toddler or young child when these work just as well and I actually prefer them for kids for several reasons, not least of which is Kids+ and the ability to link everything with my Amazon account so easily. We can access their Kindle books, the shows they like to watch on prime, and everything else. I like the parental controls as well. It's just a really seamless experience for a first tablet or device for a child. I can set limits and enforce quiet hours while still having something portable to take on errands and trips and for his limited screen time at home. He loves to play learning games on my phone and read books on my Kindle as well as watch Monster Jam and dirt bike kids videos on YouTube and watch his shows. So I know he'll be so excited to unwrap his gifts on Christmas morning to find that Santa has brought him the "big phone" he asked for.

I wanted a tablet that I could watch my favorite shows on, as well as listen to music and other content. This Amazon Fire HD 8 (8 inch screen) tablet works out great for me. I had an Amazon Fire in the past that I loved, but unfortunately the screen broke. So, I decided to get an upgraded model, and so far I'm really impressed with the quality and speed of the tablet. It works great, there's no lagging of the shows/movies I watch and the picture is very clear. I got a refurbished one (which to be honest, I was skeptical at first); but it came fast and works just as well as a totally brand new one. I like to use things for a long time, as to cut down on waste and to be made economical and eco-friendly. This worked well for a lot of reasons, and I also believe it's reasonable in price when comparing to other similar items on the market. It's been great so far, and I love it! 😊

Nimbus got his very own Kindle Fire HD older-version 8 (refurbished but new to him!). He loves Cat Games and Kitty TV. It's a toy that will ALWAYS be 'new' for cheap! It runs great and gets his YouTube favorites and kitty apps, no problem. Thanks, Amazon Warehouse!

It didn’t come with google play store but I found a YouTube video on how to install and it was so easy but the processors are slower then I’d like on the tablet it kept crashing while on the website. After installing it I added the real YouTube app that lets me download videos unlike the Amazon store one. I bought it refurbished so I’m not sure if the speed was an effect due to this but I just needed this tablet for my son on car rides and that’s it. So far it has saved our sanity. Haha. The WiFi connects with ease, even connected to our phone WiFi with ease. The screen seems good. I read one book so far on it and so far no issues. I added a memory card for I can transfer videos and pictures if needed. Everything on setup up was easy. Storage capacity is perfect for our little needs. Not sure how much storage we need until he’s older and wants games on it. So I’ll update when the time comes.

good replacement ipad for my kid . good sound quality . downloads great . the battery life is pretty good . storage capacity isnt great . very portable .

My Amazon Fire tablet goes with me everywhere. I love that I can read a kindle ebook anytime, wherever I am, especially if I am waiting in my car. I also love to bring it on plane trips to watch downloaded Netflix or Prime movies/shows. Screen and sound quality are perfect. Facebook works well and is easy to see on a larger screen than my cell phone. Games are fun to play. I recommend also purchasing a good case to go with it that can also stand it up to watch. My only negative is that it will not connect to my blue tooth headphones.

This was definitely worth the money I bought a refurbished version but I'm really glad that I did I hadn't had a new Kindle since about 2010. Battery last forever. No scratches no dings came perfectly as described. It looked exactly how it looked in the picture. Was really easy to set up to my existing Amazon account because I did that before I ever purchased it so when I turned it on I just had to hit a few buttons and everything automatically linked. I love the fact that I can play wheel of Fortune on tablet so definitely happy with that. Great performance as far as speed and storage. I bought the Kindle in order to store my Kindle unlimited purchases and be able to read and take my books with me wherever I go.

I'm sorry I purchased used. It shuts multiple times when I am using it. I have to turn it back on. Sometimes its ok and many times I have turn it on 8 to 10 x's or more.....
