Had one of these lid removers, no sharp edges, years ago until it blunted on the thicker cans of the day. Modern cans are thinner, and though this works the can tends to squash with its top removed, you need to be careful accessing the contents or they may spill. Still safer than other tin openers but only works on a rimmed lid; useless for opening crimped bases used for stacking.

Not good value for money. Either I am not operating it properly or it's not very good. It will not cut through the tin, hence I cannot get the tops off.

Does not last long
When new it does it's job BUT the effort in turning the wing lever is too much, increasing the length of the wing lever would help. It only takes a few months and it is worn out and won't open a can.
