303 (30221CSR) Grill Cleaner and Degreaser Spray - Professional Strength, Biodegradable for BBQ Grills and Grates, 16 fl. Oz

We got a Coleman Grill nine years ago, and even though it has non-stick coating, the ( Coleman RoadTrip Cast Aluminum Accessory Grill ) is almost impossible to keep clean. In the past, I've used  Citrusafe Grill Cleaning Spray (23 oz) . The Citrusafe worked better than dish soap, but it still required a lot of scrubbing. Enough that the non-stick coating came off when cleaning the grill. This 303 Grill Cleaner does require a bit of scrubbing, but not near as much as the Citrusafe. After grilling steaks slathered in BBQ sauce, I was able to remove the food particles and burnt-on sauce without removing any more of the non-stick coating. The 303 is costlier than the Citrusafe, but in my opinion, it's worth the extra price, and I've ordered more. I definitely don't want to run out of this during grilling season.

This stuff works! I have had my grill for about 7 years and never had any success cleaning the exterior. I bought 303 and am amazed how well it works. I does take some elbow grease with a scrub pad but looks almost like new. Wish I had taken before and after pics to share.

Cleans the grill nice and easily. I'm a big fan of 303 already as I've used their aerospace protectant for years.

I clean my grill with this product. It doesn't work at all. I have to go back to the traditional way using steam pressure clean.

I have been looking for a good grill cleaner for quite some time now, and I think I have finally found one that I like. I use my grill 2-3 times a week, and because I live in a warm weather climate, I use it year round as well. Every few months I have to do a deep cleaning on my grill (besides the normal cleaning after every use) and this product really made my life easier.The cleaner sprays on easily, and if you let it soak in for a few minutes you can really get off tough grease. You will have to either use a cloth, paper towel, or a brush to get off the tough spots as this cleaner will not wipe away everything on its own. I used it before and after using my grill, and the grease and grime came off easily (with some scrubbing). I now use it after every time I grill, and every time before to keep the grill itself clean and neat. I also used it to wipe off the outside of my grill as well, and that made life a lot easier. I had been using other products (not made specifically for the grill) and they never seemed to really work. This product is made specifically for the grill, and it really delivers. The only downside for me is the price point on Amazon ($15). I don't know if I would be willing to pay that high of a price for a grill cleaner.

I keep my kitchen pretty spotless, but I let my BBQ grill get pretty nasty. Is it because I'm lazy? No. It's because that coat of char imparts a seasoning into the grill that helps prevent sticking and adds a little flavor. But there's a point when it gets to be too much. And unfortunately, that's the point where it also becomes a real booger to clean, so a de-gunker product becomes a necessity. This degreaser is a huge help.A couple of tips:* Make sure to glove-up, because your hands are going to get trashed. The pretty woman's hands in the product photos here aren't going to stay pretty that way for long, because every square inch of her hands, cuticles, and nail beds are going to be caked with sticky black grease that won't fully come out for days.* Open you lid and start from the top, because it's a shame when you get the grill looking just right and then all the crud from the lid drops down on it.

I am a big fan of 303 products and I am an avid griller/smoker, so I was happy to see this product come along.I tested this on my Big Green Egg's cast iron grate and on my Weber Gas grill grate and on the Weber's exterior. I sprayed it on and left it on for a couple minutes. It is easier to get the grease off with this product, but it still requires some elbow grease and a grill brush to get all of the grease off. In other words, this isn't a miracle worker. It helps loosen up the grease on the grill and makes it easier to clean, but the grease doesn't just melt off. Also, it worked on the outside of the grill and cleaned off dirt without an issue. The leaves that had really attached themselves to the grill over the winter season were harder to get off, but it was definitely better to have the cleaner than trying to clean it with just soap and water.All in all, I can recommend this to other outdoor cooks, but if you are used to 303 products just melting away dirt and grime (like some of their other products), be prepared that this will take a little more scrubbing than you are used to. That being said, this is a unique product that will come in handy all summer long.

We keep our grill reasonably clean by heating it up and scrubbing with a high quality wire brush. It works pretty well but does not get to the hard to reach places or baked on residue. After removing the grates and rinsing them off, I applied 303 grill cleaner spraying a generous amount. I let it stand for about 3 -4 minutes then scrubbed with a wire brush and rinsed it off. It removed most, not all, of the flakes and grease. I did the same process on the underside with good results. Our grill has very small slits in the grates that get clogged so extra scrubbing was needed to open those up. It really loosened the build-up making it much easier to clean.There is a small ledge where the grates rest that gets dirty but not really baked on. Spraying a little 303, letting it rest and wiping with a paper towel cleaned it right up. As others have mentioned, it is pricier than the strong chemical cleaners but I wouldn't use those anyway. I probably shouldn't have but I took away one star for price. (currently $14.95 for 16 oz)
