An official access all areas, cinematic documentary celebrating Ryan Giggs’ illustrious career at Manchester United Football Club. Directed by Daniel Mendelle, Life of Ryan combines video diary footage with archive film of the footballing legend’s career, along with a rare glimpse into Ryan’s other passions outside the beautiful game. Currently assistant manager at Manchester United F.C., Ryan Giggs is celebrated as having the longest Premier League career to date, having played 1,027 games and won 34 trophies over the course of a career spanning almost 8,000 days. Thanks to this, he is now one of the most famous and successful footballers in history, and is regarded as a true legend of the modern game. Life of Ryan comes from the producers of the acclaimed sporting documentary film The Class of 92, which details the rise to prominence of the infamous six Manchester United footballers who joined the team along with Ryan Giggs in the early 1990s, and whose careers have been in the global spotlight ever since. The film also features high profile interviews with his Class of 92 teammates David Beckham, Paul Scholes, Phil Neville, Gary Neville and Nicky Butt, plus sporting icons Rio Ferdinand, Diego Maradona and former manager Sir Alex Ferguson, along with current Manchester United players including Darren Fletcher and Michael Carrick.

The truth as it happenend
Other than being a great watch it would also have been interesting to see how as a youngster from his school years onwards to follow the path that was taken to emerge at MUFC as a schoolboy. Something for the younger viewers, to understand how he got to where did.

More like the final year of Ryan...
I enjoyed this blu ray and seeing Ryan Giggs behind the scenes but it really only focuses on Gigg's final season at Old Trafford in which he hardly played (thanks to Moyes) and became caretaker manager for a few games. As such the title Life of Ryan is really quite misleading as there is hardly any football footage unlike the excellent DVD "Ryan Giggs - True Red" which is a far better review of his career and I thoroughly recommend. In the end I can see what they were trying to do making it as a behind the scenes documentary similar to Class of '92 but overall I was a bit disappointed with this release. The extra's are very poor as well, abysmal in fact. I would've loved to see all of his goals included instead.

Premier League Legend
This DVD is a fascinating insight into the life and career of one of the Premier League's legends, who has been at Manchester United since he was a young lad, part of the film shows Giggsy as caretaker manager for the last 4 games of the 2013-2014 season. Even if you don't support Manchester United, as a football fan you will enjoy this film.

I am not an extreme fan but it was interesting.
Quite interesting. Views of Old Trafford were interesting.I suddenly thought that I had heard something being repeated in the film then realised that the whole thing was repeated on the dvd at least two or three times. No problem with the vision or soundtrack though.
