This is a handsome collar made of a heavyweight synthetic leather with much bright metal work to complement the overall design.For a black terrier on the go-go excess weight is taboo so I cut off the buckle and with a hacksaw removed the D-ring too retaining the loop into which it reposed. The metalled holes so beautifully made also had to go although I retained one which left the important middle piece. I then sewed this - utilising one metalled hole and the D-ring loop - to a snap-clasp lightweight plastic collar.The result is brilliant, for the light is bright and very visible providing the lad has his head up...terrier owners will know that this is not a given when out and about in the fields for he is apt to hide his light under a bushel or even two!Worn in addition to a BLUSMART head torch attached to a dog harness this green flashing collar lets me know to which direction the dog is pointing - very helpful advice for a dog that follows his nose.The usb charging port is secreted along the edge of the large easy to locate button and with the long cable provided easy to charge using your preferred method.This is a very handsome collar supplied at a very silly price in simple no nonsense packaging.Recommended.

I've had two of these and both broke exactly the same way in less than a year - the loop that holds the lead attachment snapped clean open. So exactly the same as the other reviews and photos.And it's a medium-sized Labrador I've got, just for perspective, not something akin to a small horse...Likely can't even get a refund from the seller because too much time has passed.

I like this collar for the illumination, but it is extremely stiff and bulky.Charging is easy, and the light lasts for many 30 minute walks. It’s extremely visible whether used on permanent, or slow or fast flashing. Certainly gets the neighbours talking as you walk the dog at night.My only gripe is how solid the collar is. It is so stiff, that I walk the dog with his usual collar, and just fasten this one around his neck for walks at night. I feel that if used with the lead, the stiffness pulling on his neck would be uncomfortable.

This illuminated collar is just perfect, make sure of the size though. It's well made and charges easily in a USB charger, use it at night, pop it back on charge, then it's ready for the next time, the charge so far has not ran out with usual walkies times. I highly recommend this item.

I ordered the small size for my mini dachis. The size fits perfectly but the collar is made from synthetic leather which is around 2.5 inches wide and is really stiff. My dog looked overwhelmed and uncomfortable wearing it. Returned for refund, oh and £4 to return them as they arrived in a huge box, a padded envelope would have sufficed. Not good

This has been a great purchase. I walk my dog off the lead for an hour or so in a large wooded park, frequently in the dark in winter. This collar has made that so much easier. It has held its charge well, in fact it hasn't faded yet but I've recharged it every 4 or 5 walks to keep it topped up. We've been out in the rai and it's been fine. I don't know if it would survive a swim in the river but then I don't let my dog swim in the river when it's dark... It's a much better product that my friend bought in a discount shop - mine stays lit, has a full band of light around most of the collar instead of led dots of light, and is a much sturdier item.

Purchased a red/orange one for my dog and its great, really bright and well made. So I ordered a blue one for my other dog. Very disappointed. It is nowhere near as bright (even after a full charge). Mine looks nothing like the picture, I would say, not even half as bright. The quality isn't as good as the first one, so not sure if I just got a bad one, or mine was a reused return item, but not best pleased this time around.

I bought two of these, a red and green for each of our dogs. I've tried a number of products in the past to illuminate my dogs at night, but this one is by far the best. For a start it's a good quality collar in its own right, and the illumination is excellent. The fact that it's rechargeable is a real bonus, and the charging process couldn't be easier. I charge the collars up once a week which seems to do the trick.Absolutely excellent - the Rolls Royce of illuminated collars.
