Pete At His Best
Pete Seeger Came Saw And Conquered When He Played Carnegie Hall Performing Everything From Children's Songs (Mail Myself To You, Skip To My Lou And Sweet Potatoes To Songs Of Protest (If You Miss Me At The Back Of The Bus And Oh Freedom And The Title Track) Being The Best Ones But Oh Freedom In Particular Was Worth The Price Of Admission Heck If It Cost 16 Dollars To Buy Just That One Song It Would Still Be Worth It Sure It's An Earworm But One That Doesn't Harp On Your Nerves After Awhile Unlike What Does The Fox Say LOL Burn

Gems from The Civil Rights Movement to consider and remember
I have had this original vinyl item since 1966. It got lost in the seventies. I discovered it again a few weeks ago and bought it immediately. Some lonely waiting weeks were soon rewarded when listening to almost the whole concert (121 minutes)!. There are still the pearls from my memory's sixties, but so much more on these double cd:s.Thank You for being there helping find out obsolete things to please old men!I am Very happy with Your being there!I have got four different concerts with Arlo and Pete as well and the contents of these and this new/old concert are really needed in times of this presidency!

Oh, My God, It's Been Re-Released
This album taps directly into my childhood, like "mac & cheese". My father must have played it ten-thousand times on a little phonograph that he'd build himself, with a balsa-wood tone arm and washers on the back to give it the ounce of weight it needed for the stereo cartridge he'd bought. Ten-thousand times is conservative. Maybe fifty-thousand. I can lip-sync not just the songs, but the intros to the songs.Seeger is an inspiration. He is a national treasure. I hear his voice, and I start to cry. I hear this album, and it moves me afresh to go out and get involved. He was an amazing poet, civil rights leader, and patriot, and this is his best work.

A few words about about Pete seeger and what he stands for
Pete is my favorite in all matters, activist against everything bad, war, segregation a.s.o.And he is a marvolous instrumentalist and singer - or at least was. In his age you cannot ask for a perfect voice but his way of doing what he does gives me inspiration and makes me go on. A few more Seegers in the world would make it a better place to live in.He is just something else.//Lasse JanssonSweden

Time Capsule
This is really an enjoyable CD. He covers a lot of traditional and current (in 1963) folk songs. The remastering is gorgeous and the audience actually sings in perfect harmony. However, it is a product of its time. I actually find this to be a plus, as it gives great insight into the coming unrest of the late sixties. Musical and historical, without being too "heavy".

Great Pete Seeger CD
I love Pete Seeger and these songs are great, most of which I don't have on other CDs I have.

Welcome back, Pete Seeger!
We have the original concert “live” vinyl album, but have been unable to play it for years(no turntable!) It was like having an old friend back. This complete recording of the whole Carnegie Hall concert contains all the old favourites and lots of other tracks. Brought back fond memories of my youth. What an inspiration Pete Seeger was to the cause of tolerance and civil rights.Thank you Musical Magpie for providing this recording at such a competitive price and in such excellent condition.

An historic recording
The original LP was the second one I bought and I was surprised to find out late last year that this full version of the concert had been available for 20 years! Now that I have listened to the full version a few times, I find it has even more impact than the original the comments and even the audience noises draw you into the occasion - it's a joyful record and it's just as well the world can't hear me singing along to it in my car!

The ultimate Pete Seeger
Fantastic music and radical thinking at that time. Best Pete Seeger album, in my humble opinion. All the family can enjoy it, on many levels. What a great man and musician at his best. If you heard this when it came out (which I did as a toddler), you will be transported back to and reminded of a time when people power did make the change.

Molto bello
Direi che il Pete Seeger più "impegnato" è quello che funziona meglio: What did you learn in school today è uno spasso, If you miss me at the end of the bus fa esplodere il teatro, meritatamente. Consigliatissimo.
