The old filter that we had was also a cleanable filter but it has seen its use through multiple seasons and needed to be replaced this filter did the trick and the air is nice and clean in our house again I recommend these cleanable filters for money saving and the fact you don't need to make so many trips to the store for filters this filter works very well for its intended purpose.

It fit perfect and needed

They sent a letter saying they folded for economy and put in a plastic bag. But, I had to work with it to get it flattened out. Not a bunch of time but since this was quite expensive anyway ($22.95 for one) they could have added an extra few cents for the right size plastic package. I didn't realize the Merv rating til I had already hit the buy button. If that is something you care about read more carefully than me. It wasn't the same as I usually buy. It cut easily but doesn't look very dense--that bothered me and made me think I would only be using it until I washed and dried carefully the fancy reusable one I have. For me it is an experiment. Thought it should be cheaper since it didn't have any of the paper frame around it. Air is on right now--no funky smell coming from the air vents and all seems good. I'll see if this is something that stands up and will upgrade my rating accordingly.
