No output when not connected to the battery. Short circuit, over current and reverse polarity protection. Electronically protected Identification of batteries with internally short-circuited cell Effective interactive float charge for long term battery maintenance If during the maintenance mode the battery starts to lose charge, whether due to an internal problem or due to an additional outside load being imposed on it, the maintenance “float-charge” reverts to to the absorption stage to provide the additional current necessary to counter the discharge until the cause of the problem is removed.
