Runescape: Legacy of Blood (Runescape 3)

A better love story than Twilight
Full of action, constant cliffhangers always keeping you on the edge of where-ever you're reading. You really do grow closer to the characters and build a bond with them, and when they're hurt or in pain you share that with them. There are loose ends, however that's what makes you long for another sequel. You finally get to learn about Jerrod's mission, why he was sent beyond the River Salve. And there's so much gore and bloodshed, with horrific events that it makes you forget you play the game the book is based on!I cannot wait for the fourth instalment.

Fantasy fun for Roleplayer Readers all round
Another Runescape novel and as with the other one that I've read I did have a lot of fun. The characters were rounded and came across for the reader with something for all readers whether fans of the role play or not. Add to this a plot with quite a huge arc, solid underpinning and of course great pace alongside prose. All in a solid read and a book that I was pleased that I picked up at a time when some of my reading material was dragging. Great fun all in and I'll look forward to more books by TS Church.

Fantastic read
Absolutly brilliant read, this book keeps you on the very edge of your seat all the way through to the last page. The brilliance is you don't have to know anything of runescape to read this story and be gripped. The complex relationships fuled by love, loyalty, jealousy and hatred, are something any reader can relate to.

Epic Conclusion to the Fantastic Trilogy
I have played RuneScape fro 10 years, and feel the accuracy of the setting, plot direction and characters were spot on with the game world. With such detail which develops the important parts of a great story (engaging story, character personality development, and detailed settings), T.S.Church's RuneScape novels are a written with all fantasy enthusiasts alike; whether you are just starting your RS adventure, have played or years or never even heard of the game, I strongly recommend this series. I feel most fantasy readers will have a hard time putting this book down after chapter endings.Legacy of Blood was the third and final book of the series, and was a spectacular read. Building up from the conflicts of its predecessors, in the final novel the ultimate climax ensues, which gave me a strong urge to read non-stop as much as life let me. To me, the series got better and better as the series moved on, as the characters are more described and much mystery is discovered as the story progresses. The great detail of the many main characters added a unique richness to the story, and truly developed the story in a realistic way through the different ideologies of the characters based on their race, past experience and religious affiliation, which, in RuneScape is based on three main gods with clear and understandable positions for behaviour and guidance. There is a dark tone to the book which I would say is for adolescents and adults, which surprised me because of the wide audience range of RS players.T.S. Church manages to write a story that concludes the series well, with very captivating turn of events. Unlike many fantasy books, there are no extreme loose ends that act as a cliff hanger until the next book. Although I was excited for each one because of the obvious opportunity for a continuation, there were no drastic conflicts left for us to wonder what happens next to the point of frustration. Tom Church really seems to care about writing a book with the best of his talent without giving into marketing tactics such as those I mentioned above. I personally can't stand books the leave the reader with a longing for how things turn out.Remember to read the books in order for the best experience!- Betrayal at Falador- Return to Canifis- Legacy of BloodCheers and Happy Reading!---Greg Jankowski

A solid book
I was pleasantly surprised by these books! Keep in mind that the lore in the books is roughly around the time of RS Classic to RS2.It would also be possible for non Runescape fans to read these books and easily pick up on terminology that players would instantly understand.

An epic conclusion to a wonderful series! I have played RuneScape for a decade ...
An epic conclusion to a wonderful series! I have played RuneScape for a decade now and I must say that this is my favorite fantasy series of all time. I know the locations and people of Gielinor like the back of my hand, and seeing them all come to life was astounding. This book kept me on the edge of my seat and had a wonderful ending. I felt connected to every character which made me feel empty when it came to an end. I wish RuneScape would have let him write another!
