Great Product
I purchased 2 sets of these. 1 for my pre-amp and 1 for the matching power-amp. I went for the Silver plate (as opposed to Rhodium or Gold) as it is the best conductor of electricity.Negative first: the plugs supplied are different to the photo in that they have an normal opaque cover to them, not a see through cover as in the photo.Now the postives: you don't spend this sort of money on a plug and IEC socket set for the aesthetics; you are after a better electrical connection, hopefully resulting in a sonic improvement. Both ends (mains plug and IEC) were easy to fit to my chosen mains cable - just take your time would be my only advice. Once assembled, I used an accurate multimeter to measure the resistance from each pin of the plug to its respective pin on the IEC connector. I got 0.9 ohms across all 3 runs on both sets! So, considering 1 run (live) would have included the fuse, I got an ultra low resistance measurement and 100% consistency. A very good, measurable start!I plugged in my newly assembled power leads. I got an instantly discernable improvement to the sound from my system - mainly in terms of detail.Clearly the results will be different for everyone, especially depending on the cable you use, but for me this set is a no-brainer in terms of recommendation.Lastly, I used a simple low-cost cable as I wanted a solid core mains cable and this restricts your choice i.e. not many fancy, expensive cables are available in solid core.Hope this helps.

Good quality
Quality connectors that used with a decent 4mm2 cable makes an excellent supply cable for HiFi power block at a sensible cost. No need to spend more!

Not as pictured
The 3 pin 13 amp UK plug is not as pictured as it does not have the clear top cover, just a plain black one. They didn't come in any kind of MS HD packaging, they were loose in a padded envelope. However the MS HD plugs are very good quality.

Excellent quality
I have done many upgrades over the years. This mains plug and IEC connector are excellent for the priceI have upgraded another set of cables. For the amplifier and DAC.Highly recommend

Great quality plugs
This is a great product if you are a DIY-er obsessed with the quality of your power cable and plugs. Hard to find a better alternative - certainly not at this price.
