10 AMP X Rated 1 Way White Ceiling Pull Cord Light Switch LG1730

Just what I wanted, nice solid feel, had problems finding screws to fit but this was due to existing base, ? cross threaded previously or something, obviously would be easier to use whole of supplied switch. Recommended.

The original light switch in our bathroom was becoming unreliable so I decided to replace it. The product arrived within the delivery timescale and lower part with the switch mechanism slotted well into an old case attached to the ceiling - so it is a standard size. Once in it has worked correctly.

Nice sturdy fixing BUT the cord came out in a couple of days due to the knot coming undone on the internal gubbins. Couldn't replace the string through the small spring inside ,so used garden wire instead. Bit of a fiddly job really. Wasted time when shouldn't have needed to.

The old pendant pull switch in my bathroom had lasted for over twenty years without problems, but afflicted with daily ambient condensation eventually decided to take its well-deserved retirement, so I bought this one at what appeared to be a good price, fitting was non-problematic but to my dismay after only occasional use when I pulled on the cord it started to malfunction internally, then with a more determined tug the cord broke at the ceiling fitting.I've decided to look for a more reliable replacement elsewhere, meantime I'm obliged to take a shower by candle light!
