1987-94 wrangler fits YJ
This review is for fitting to a 1987 YJ 4.2 5spd (AX15 converted)Be aware that this kit fits other models including wranglers (YJ, TJ, XJ) Grand Cherokee and some GM applications. With this in mind some parts are not used and as in my case you may need to remove the sleeve/spacer in the rubber mount. I bought mine off the Amazon Like New option. From past experience when you buy this way you may not get something that is included in the new in box. Mine was obviously opened and instructions were missing. I couldn't get the new mount through the rubber on the piston end. Through Amazon I contacted Rough Country chat and they sent PDF of instructions and I asked about the tapered mount not fitting. They said to remove the steel sleeve/spacer on the piston end and everything else was straight forward! I believe that this was returned because the previous buyer didn't contact Rough Country chat to find out about removing the sleeve. I don't know if the other applications require the sleeve. If you want to save a few bucks, and in my case/location , get it the next morning, I had no problems with going with the like new option. Photo shows the sleeve I removed and from what end it was in. The old mounting pin had a castle nut with cotter key, the new one uses a regular nut with a lock washer. You may want to get a nylock nut. When removing the old mounting stud use a 7/8" wrench to break it free. Loosening the castle nut and using a dead blow and brass hammer didn't work for me. The OE mount has a integrated 7/8 that broke it free with a few taps.. After all was done there was a new extra bolt, nyloc nut and washer left over. I suspect this is for one of the other applications this kit fits

Does as advertised.
This worked for my needs. If I need to replace this steering stabilizer, I will go for a "Made in the USA" product.

Light duty don't waste your time
Blew the seal on a 2 mile test run after installing on my 94 yj wrangler. Might be ok on light duty vehicle. But I'd say don't waste your time. I returned it paid $20 more got another model same manufacturer it is twice the diameter and weighed 2 to 3 times more. More heavy duty! Worth the extra money.
