Wonderful , just wonderful.

I bought both of these books. Jim is one spectaular writer and the words just flow through these books and the love and care he has for the horses in his care. A man of wit at all turns. If you love reading than I highly recommend these two books, you will not put them down until you finish. 5 stars from this reader.

Jim Gath writes with deep feeling for our equine partners along with solid knowledge. His life shift is a dramatic reminder to follow our inner wisdom, our heart knowing, to find deep joy in living in our human - animal - earth ecology.

Jim writes as the horse whisperer he is. He is one with these magnificent spirits. This is a MUST READ for everyone who loves horses. And if you don't know horses now, you will after reading this wonderful book.

I am a bit late to the party. I only just found this older book online. It just arrived, and I have sat and read it in one session. Jim Gath was my boss many moons ago at USA TODAY and our friendship continues via the Internet. I have closely followed Jim's ups and downs over the years, and his wonderful connection with horses is inspiring. The sacrifices that he and his colleagues constantly make are impressive. This book is timeless, and you can find used copies on Amazon and Thrift books. I urge you not to miss out on it. If I was a horse I'd certainly want to end up at RanchoTierra Madre

Anyone who loves animals should read this book. And everyone who doesn't should, too!
