Excellent coffee
Very good espresso. Not artificially flavored, but has chocolate/cocoa undertones. Very smooth as well. Also, it delivered 1 day early.

Very good espresso
Discovered this gem in Florence, Italy. Very balanced flavor, hint of sweetness, no bitterness. Much better than any pods! Definitely worth it to grind your own beans and clean your espresso maker after preparing this delicious espresso.

Good medium roast espresso, but not worth OVER-THE-TOP-PRICE-INCREASE
It's interesting that some other reviewers said Hausbrandt Superbar was bitter. I might suggest they clean their espresso machine. My coffee is also bitter when the grouphead filter needs to be cleaned & backflushed. Maintenance? Huh, what's that? Hausbrandt Superbar is actually medium roast SWEET. I have compared it with a dozen brands of both Low-Acid and regular beans. I have a very good setup, heat-exchanger espresso mach + 83mm burr grinder + scales + portafilters + cleaners. The top low-acid, medium-roast, non-bitter but sweet, espresso beans are this Hausbrandt Superba & Lucy Jo's Organic Brainstorm. Close behind is the Filicori Zecchini Delicato and then Cafe Borbonne (blue). All very good. HOWEVER, the Hausbrandt was $35.52/2.2 lb bag the first couple of times I bought it. Then Amazon's or J&D International's tracking data suggested a higher price might hold and just raised it to $47.03/2.2 lbs. (32% increase to $21.38/lb). Sorry J&D, but this Hausbrandt is good, but NOT WORTH $21.38/lb. +32% has nothing to do with inflation or shortages or what a product is actually worth. There are alternatives.

Right balance, rich taste
The oackaging was different but the smell is just amazing! The foam and the rich taste is incomparable. Not sour nor bitter it is just right balance.

Bit pricey but mundane coffee, bad mailing wrapper (thin plastic).
Hausbrandt "Superbar". Used coffee to make espresso (black, no sugar or milk) w an LM GS/3. Adjusted temperature, it did not have a bad taste, but for the price I was expecting a bit of character. Very average Italian style espresso from the Trieste region, wasn't bad, quite smooth in fact. There was no date of manufacture on the package, only a 'best buy' date "20-07-22" pressed into the back seam of the package. I tend not to buy coffees with out a date of manufacture listed, and unlikely I'll ever order this one again. I'd been looking for Hausbrandt "Cafe" coffee beans, which was recommended, but was unable to find those on Amazon. Delivery was expeditious, HOWEVER it came wrapped in a thin plastic envelope that could easily have punctured the envelope and the bag inside, thereby ruining it. Seller didn't care. Bad points on that. Three stars from that perspective is generous.

First tasted this coffee in Dublin!
Great coffee, so smooth and a great taste. It was wonderful to have it in Dublin this summer and now in my own kitchen!
