The 2 stage zoom works as expected, zoom is smooth on slow and fast. The 2 stage shutter button can be some what tricky to get used to, but it functions as expected. For video works the remote is a must, set the Camcorder on a tripod and it is hands off from there, so camera shake is eliminated. The clip is a tad bit on the loose side, but I hold the remote 95% of the time so no big deal to me.
