Good product
OK, so this is what it is and does exactly what it is needed to do, i.e. provide a terminal box where two cables need to be joined. I've used them before and they are fine, but be careful not to overstress or 'work' the hinge or it will snap. Tip- warm the box up first before opening it. Mine came with a chocblock inside which I didn't need, but was welcome as a spare. I put mine outside - under the soffit out of the way of the weather, and sealed the cut ends where the cable goes in with electrical putty and silicone to finish around the box lid joint, and fitted it upside down and it's absolutely fine.
