Demonic

If I'm counting correctly, this was the lucky 13th novel I've read by Mr. Strand. It's just bonkers how his mind can come up with this stuff! The only reason I'm giving particular novel 4 stars, instead of 5, is the ending. It seemed a tad too abrupt. Still an awesome awesome read, though. Buy this book (or the Kindle version) and become an instant fan like me.

First I must say i’m one of Jeff Strand’s biggest fans. I’ve loved all his stories and this one is just as top notch! Corey decides to help his co-worker Quinn to get rid of her homicidal killing cheating husband and they come up with a plan. Soon everything goes wrong and they end up summoning revenge demons determined to destroy them and take them to burning fires below! No spoilers! Funny and fast action, plenty of gore and perfect ending! Grab a copy ASAP and enjoy! I know I did!

I LOVE Jeff Strands writing! He has a way of making even the most gruesome scenes seem light and funny. His poor protagonist gets in way over his head just trying to do the right thing in a wrong way. This is probably the fifth or sixth book of his I’ve read and I will keep coming back for more.

Thank you Jeff Strand for another fantastic book. I highly recommend it especially to those readers that have had a really bad day when they tried to surprised someone by doing something nice for them.Joe Hempel did a great job reading this story. It is Fast Pace, Action Packed, at its funniest. There are suspense moments blended in with comedy when the tension gets to high. Jeff Strand is a horror-comedy writing genius.This was not my favorite of his stories, but still plenty enjoyable.The main character, Corey, seemed very familiar as he has similar qualities to other Strand male characters.This was a fun, UNBELIEVABLE, and gory tale of a serial killer/demon lowlife and his posse and their incredulous relationship with two accountants. Although the main goal seems to be to entertain his readers, I did feel that there were moments in which the story degenerated into farce and some scenes were a bit tedious.That being said, Jeff is really good at what he does, and I continuously race to pick up any new books that he writes.Last two comments:1. The conclusion of “Demonic” was terrific. Many writers screw up that part. Jeff did not.2. Excellent cover by Lynne Hansen. Very eye -catching and matched the story/theme perfectly.

I enjoyed this book. It has Jeff Strand’s trademark dark comedy which definitely works here. I look forward to the next time installment if this turns into a series. I hope it does!

A really good read. I didn't know what to expect when I started this book, but the more I read the more I enjoyed it. In places it was gory and violent, but the next minute I was laughing out loud. If you are looking for a fast fun read, this is it.

What a great book to pass the time with. Serial killer/demon fueled with demonic back up? Wow! Makes the unbelievable believable. Nothing too serious here to give you nightmares but its sure to have you laughing out loud. Of course I'm sure one has to have a certain mindset to be entertained so thank goodness I'm on board.

Decided to give Jeff Strand a go after a recommendation by another like minded author Pat McNulty. Demonic was a great read! A short read but no wasted pages. A good mix of suspense, action and humour.

Read in one sitting, couldn’t put it down. Strand comes out swinging like an axewielding madman on a mission to thrill

Don’t want to give any spoilers but it’s a great action ride of demons, supernatural stuff Satan worshipers and sarcastic black comedy that only Jeff can do so well, and some real twists and turns that will have you saying what just happenI loved the line I will scoop your eyeballs right out with a grapefruit spoon !
