Husband's need
Making saddles and got tired of hand sewing. The machine arrived short of screws and without the promised extra spool of "thread." Fortunately my husband is innovative and can fix the screw parts. Need to know how to adjust tension of stitches and thickness. Hasn't used it yet because he now has to order thread and find the right screws

A very good machine
It really sees thick leathers. A bit tricky to set up. Good book comes with machine.0

Save your money, buy a cowboy or cobra leather machine. They aren’t that much more.
Well it’s better than hand stitching, you cannot count on this machine. If you go online and start reading about it the first thing that you will find out is that you need to file and polish the foot and the feet dog and the whole the needle goes in and a bunch of other modifications to try to get it to work better than average. I have problems with the stitch length randomly adjusting itself on mine. It has ruined more than one project When you call customer service with your issues they don’t even seem surprised. They tell you that is one of its issues. there is no information in the manual on potential issues, in fact they tell me that the manual is outdated and needs to be thrown away. Of course the CD that they sent with it didn’t work at all and they would not send me a new one and said that everything that is on there is on the paper manual. But you said that it needed to be thrown away because it was outdated ...... hm I feel for $1500 the machine should work accurately. The stitches are all over the place because there is a lot of play in the bracket that holds the needle. What is absolute and favorite list thing to do is not be consistent with stitches. It constantly skips every 15 to 20 stitches sometimes it’s 25 sometimes it’s three stitches. You never know. And when you back it up it refuses to do that particular hole and stitch it no matter what. What is absolute in favor dissed thing to do is not be consistent with stitches. But don’t take two pieces of thin leather like for a purse or a pillow and try to stitch those together. It will fly into the whole project it will stitch really heavy leather. But don’t take two pieces of thin leather like for a purse or a pillow and try to stitch those together. It will fight you through the whole project. It absolutely does not like light weight anythingOh! And in the manual they recommend thread sizes. Be aware that the smallest thread size that they indicate does not work on the machine no matter what you were just or how you do it. I called them on the phone and they had no idea why it wouldn’t work. Most people that buy this machine learn to be wiser and simple use it to poke holes in the leather so it’s easy to hand stitch. The problem that I have with this though is that the foot and feed dogs still marr up the leather pretty bad.
