I thought it was completely insane that I paid as much for this lid as I did for the whole bottle with its original lid. I am surprised that these mix-and-match lids are so expensive and come in so few colors. But regarding the lid itself, it's fantastic. I have never used this kind before. The lid for the opening is on a sturdy hinge and works like a stopper. It stays closed well and doesn't leak so I think I could possibly bring it in my bag and not worry about spillage. What really makes this lid special is the opening, which is large and easy to drink from. It works like a spout and pours the liquid right down your gullet such that you can get much larger gulps of water than from a regular lid. I have tried all the lids and I use them each for a different purpose. I have this lid screwed onto a medium-sized bottle and I keep it filled with Kombucha. I don't usually bring this bottle with me but rather have it filled and at the ready in the refrigerator door. If the price is discouraging people from buying this lid, just know that it is the coolest and the best and drinking from it is really FUN!

I bought the white flip lid to upgrade from the standard top on my sea green, 16 oz. Lifefactory water bottle. It looks nice, and it's much easier to flip the lid than to unscrew the entire top to drink. Also, if it's knocked over while the lid is opened, much less liquid will spill out. This feature is important to me because one evening as I attempted to replace the old, standard lid an exuberant cat head-butted my hand, knocking over the bottle and over half a bottle of water flooded into my laptop. I highly recommend the lid and will buy again should the need arise. Also, the cat was not harmed and the laptop was salvageable :)

I originally had the straw cap and didn't like it because it was harder to drink the water. I wanted a flip cap spout that was wide enough to drink water from quickly and this is perfect. It feels very sturdy but not 100% leak proof.

Given some of the reviews I was leery, but mine DID come with an O-ring and doesn't leak at all. I've had it 5 minutes but from testing so far it works well and is an improvement over the original lid I had on my lifefactory bottle.

I purchased the Active Flip Cap to replace my older bottle with the Flip Cap. The Flip Cap is harder to open and close and to drink from. While it seals better, the spout cover is too flexible and doesn't function well for me. The Active Flip Cap has a metal hinge and larger spout which fixes these issues. The down side is that Active Flip Cap has a thin silicone ring to seal the spout opening. And because it's easier to open, it's far more prone to leaking. I have to be mindful every time I lay it on the side in my car - make sure the spout cap is secured. Even then there is occasional leakage, so I try to keep it upright in the cup holder whenever I can. I love that the lifefactory bottle is glass and has a large opening which makes it easy to clean, and easy to fill with ice cubes. So for that, I tolerate an imperfect cap. I'm not fond of the black color. As far as I know, they don't sell a black bottle. It's mostly fun and light colors. I get it, that they wanted to make one color of spare cap and not have to deal with many different colors for spare parts. But black? Far too harsh to match any bottle. They should have gone with a milder, gray shade.

This lid goes to the Lifefactory glass water bottles that I like to use. Sometimes I use one that lacks the flip cap, but this is great for the gym when you want to grap a quick sip. It all goes into the dishwasher. Be sure to close firmly and it will seal well.

I purchased this specifically to better match the glass LifeFactory bottle, which came with a black top. I prefer flip top openings (versus straws), and this one is very easy to open with my teeth!

Every single water bottle own is glass with a silicone wrap and/or lid. I loved the original lid and wanted to replace my lid with another of the same because the mouth piece on it was smooth and well shaped for my sensitive mouth. I even liked the silicone leak proof cap on it. I only had to replace it because I got over zealous with cleaning out the cap part and split the silicone on the fold. The tear increased over the years and I felt it was not longer leak proof so I ordered this replacement. I don't even like it! I have attempted to use it several times and it is so hard and sharp on my lips when I bring it to them that I just don't drink from my bottle at all with it on there! I need my water so I am still using the old one!

Abre y cierra fácilmente y no escurre agua, pero no está muy cómoda a la hora de tomar.

Me alucina el precio que tienen estos productos... el otro día que fui a una tienda con mi espíritu ecologista en lo más alto, dispuesta a erradicar el plástico del día a día escolar de mi hija, y con voz orgullosa pregunté por una botella de CRISTAL, para colaborar con el bienestar del planeta. Me sacaron toda la gama de estas botellas... mis ojos emitían corazones, preciosas, prácticas, de colores, seguras para los peques, ecológicas, se pueden lavar en lavaplatos... me llevo una y cuando te llegue el color cual, me llevo otra para mi. 28 EURACOS. Los corazones se esfuman, el espíritu se larga por la puerta, y las piernas me tiemblan, si no, me había largado con el espíritu en ese momento. ¿28€ por una botella de cristal? ¿Tamos locos?... bueno yo como soy muy cortada para estas cosas, no soy capaz de echarme para atrás... soy carne de engaño, que se le va a hacer... PERO: vale cada centimo que cuesta. Solo que el tapón de rosca que elegí, es una castaña para una niña de 6 años.. Segundo día en la mochila, rosca mal enganchada, libros al radiador... Mamá busca tapa práctica en la tienda y la mujer me mira por encima de las gafas... menos mal que siempre queda Amazon. Otros 10 euracos. Me ha salido la botella por un riñón, prefiero comérmela con mayonesa antes de que se entere mi marido... pero viendo la calidad que tiene la heredarán mis nietos, al menos de eso si que tiene toda la pinta. O eso espero.

Comprato in sostituzione ad un tappo ormai distrutto dall'uso. Chiude perfettamente, non lascia uscire nemmeno una goccia anche se capovolgi la bottiglia.
