It's darker than you'd think, so bare this in mind when ordering . It actually looks like deep chocolate brown if used with the wand from the tube and I bought the BLONDE color and it can be TOO MUCH , especially if you try to use the wand it comes with . Since I have 'barely there' blond brows & spars at that , I've found by using an angled eye shadow brush and lighty tap on product that's on the wand it comes with , (you only tap a little at a time !!!! ) and it'll go a long ways allowing enough time to work it where you need it before it dries. You'll also have more control with the angled brush . The wand in the tube just allows WAAAAY TOO MUCH product and is thick. However , it's still fairly dark , unless you spread it out , as to make it lighter . If you've got to clean up mistakes or redo , just moisten a Q-tip with eye makeup remover and lightly swipe product off . It's pretty forgiving for having any touching up to take care of . It does dry to STAY PUT ..... keeping that in mind , you'll want to make sure you're pushing wand back into tube in between dabbing angled brush on it ..... don't leave its wand lying out as it's going to DRY . After you're done , I wet a cotton round i have sitting ontop a small disk or a small jar cover works too , and wet the cotton round with my eye makeup remover . Review: AMAZING for sparse brows - I’m so happy to find a drugstore eyebrow product that is actually long wearing and not too time consuming to apply! I have very sparse brows so I’ve tried every product under the sun that claims to be waterproof or long lasting. So far anything that lives up to those claims are either expensive or too time consuming to apply. This however is neither of those things! I’d compare this to wunderbrow but I like this product so much more. I found wunderbrow was a little streaky for me and didn’t do well on parts of my eyebrows that were extremely sparse. This filled in the sparse areas perfect. Only draw back for me is the applicator is a bit too bulky for the areas I like to define more and it laid down a bit too much product if I wasn’t careful. Instead I used a small dense angled brow brush to apply small amounts of the product, and brushed through with the spoolie that comes with it and was able to get a clean, defined natural look that didn’t take too long. Once it dries down it DOES NOT budge which is the #1 thing I look for in a brow product. Thank you maybelline for creating an affordable, high quality product! *update - I think possibly issues with this product not being budge or waterproof might just be the way it’s applied. I’ve been using this consistently and usually go with a very light hand and do more of a brushed out wash for a natural look and the thin layer seems to stay put quite well. For the price if it's just as good I would try it.** A: I got Wonder brow as soon as it came out and I loved it but the price and to only get it off the website at first was a pain in the butt and expensive and once I found this stuff in CVS I have been wearing it for years now and I can't live without it. I can get definitely two days sometimes three with a touch up. And in retail stores it's at least $13 so definitely get it. **Q: How does this product hold up for someone with oily skin; also, for sweat, after working out?** A: I have very oily skin, this is the ONLY product that does not come off. Of course if you are working out with sweat, if you rub it hard it will try to come off. I love really love it. **Q: Which one to use if you need brunette?** A: I have gray hair and bought the blonde. It's quite dark but more light brown/dark blonde. If I were a brunette, I'd try the medium. You should know that it's sort of clumpy to use but with a little brush you can mostly smooth it out and it looks okay. **Q: Which color is best for black hair?** A: My normal brow and hair color is black (the parts that aren't grey). It’s been one of the most embarrassing things I’ve had to deal with. I’m always faced with having to explain to people why I don’t have brows by telling them about my illness or people just assume I shave them or over plucked them and that’s annoying and extremely embarrassing. It’s really made me so self-conscious and no matter what I always feel like everybody is staring and judging my brows. I’ve tried everything to grow them back and nothing worked so i had to settle for filling them in everyday witch brought a whole new set of problems. It’s is so time consuming and no matter how hard I try I continue to have more fails then anything. I’ve tried almost every product out there and some have been ok but they always wipe off so easy. I’m always worried about anyone touching my face because I fear they will accidentally whipe one off. I live in Florida so it gets so hot all the time and anytime I sweat I’m so afraid my brows will run. when I’m in the water or on my motorcycle Im always worried about them the most. I either have to deal with being embarrassed that I hardly have any or be worried about them being whipped off all the time. Its been very hard. I’ve wanted to get them done but I’m afraid they will mess up and I’ll be stuck with horrible up uneven eyebrows forever that can’t be fixed and have a even bigger problem. I put it to the test today and rode my motorcycle to work. Usually my helmet wipes them off right away but no to my surprised they were still on. I purchased a great thin brow brush that has helped me apply this so much better and I’m getting a littler better at making pretty brows everyday. One of the things I love the most about this product is that It goes on so easy and when it drys it actually looks like there is tiny fibers that look like hair. It doesn’t just look like I painted on a color like some other products. I think the a very thin brow brush is very important because it’s allows me to make thin lines that look like individual hairs. I really wish this product came with one because that would make it a lot easier. I like the one i found but I’m still trying to find a thinner one to help make them look even more natural. Besides that I absolutely love this product. It’s still stays on so well even with everything I do. I recently went to the beach ans put this to the test and went out surfing and they styled on the entire time and looked fantastic. I still get all teared up when talking about how much this has really changed my life.
