A guide to entities, demons, angels and more...
Based on the title, I was expecting a lighthearted view of life from the perspective of a psychic. To my delight, this was much more profound. The author expands upon a number of serious topics, including: entities, demons, angels, orbs, guides and past and future lives. Best of all, she writes about them from her own direct experiences. My favorite parts of the book are where she debunks a few myths that many less experienced souls accept as fact. For example, she states, "I've heard other psychics talk of how they are never worn out or tired by doing the work that they do. A few have offered in preachy tones that 'the energy flows through them' so they aren't affected."In contrast, she states that she IS affected by the energies. In my experience, all healers get a tiny taste of the energy that flows through them, so it's natural to be affected to some degree by these energies.I also liked her rebuttal to those who argue, "Don't speak of dark forces, or you draw them to you." She counters, "I believe it's critical to shine a light on darkness in any form and do all that can be done to eradicate it from the earth."This is in accord with Carl Jung's quotation, "One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious." This is excellent advice. The author also includes additional resources and a free bonus to those who purchase her book. I highly recommend it.

A must read
I didn't put in the book down until I finished it. Yes it's that good! Why I didn't give a 5 star, is for my own personal reasons with my own experiences on some of the subjects written. I do highly recommend those starting on their own journey, to read Linda's books! With blessings <3

Intellectually stimulating
As a researcher and scholar, this is not the kind of book I typically read. On the advice of another, I purchased and read the book. The author writes in a compelling fashion and provides several examples of how spirituality and science are not polar opposites but complementary ways of looking at the world. The author's writing style is enjoyable to read. Her stories are heartwarming and her characters compelling. The author's decription of the metaphysical aspects of her life are believeable. Her descriptions of her childhood were filled with enough details that when I put down the book I felt as though I know Linda. A fun book to read.

Not a Good Read
Ms. Sterling tells a series of stories that tell us of her experiences. We have good ghosts versus bad ghosts. We know she enjoyed getting laid in the back seat of a car with a boyfriend. Guess her spirit guides approved. Yes, we all have spirit guides. This is very shallow writing for the subject matter. I believe in a little levity in life. But save the overnight girls stories.

Find this book ... it will bring peace and understanding.
I read the kindle edition of this book, and found it a very soothing read. Linda Stirling has re-opened my mind to the possibilities of psychic perception. She has also re-opened the conversation about religion' rejection of psychic abilities, a sad reality that closes the minds of some who might otherwise use these skills to help themselves and others. In her story, she tells of the people who came to her for help with physical symptoms that she was able to heal with gentleness and patience. Her description of how she has regressed to former lives and then progressed to future existence was totally engaging. Her comfortable relationship with her guides, and with her Creator, is clearly inviting to the rest of us ... an invitation to be still and to listen, and feel, the connections we have with our own guides, and our own Creator. Some of her expressions reminded me of the term "Namaste" ~ a term I learned and understood as I studied Ancient India in preparation to teach it to sixth graders. The belief that we are all one, interconnected not only with each other but also with our guides (I think of them as my angels) and our Creator is the basis of the Hindu teachings, and so we recognize our Creator in every one that we encounter. It is such a warming thought to share, and so important in my own career as a teacher. Teachers are healers in so many ways.I felt more comfortable with my own psychic sense. It's not something I've shared openly, but something that empowered me as a school teacher. I loved each of my students, and treated each as my own. I asked them always to treat each other as they would treat a favorite friend. Many did that, and many parents noticed a difference. Please take the time to find this book, and read it. It will bring peace and understanding to you.

Wonderfully Enlightening
Confessions of a Sunday School Psychic by Linda Stirling is the most amazing book that I have read in a long time. It not only chronicles the journey of a psychic, it also explains the issues that she faced in coming to terms with her gift due to her religious background. This book is packed with inspiration, wisdom, and information that are beneficial to us all. The words of love and wisdom in this book would be an inspiration to anyone who reads it. I enjoyed the wealth of information and life examples that Ms. Stirling gave about spiritualism. I, myself, grew up in a religious upbringing but always questioned the strict beliefs about ghosts, psychic abilities, past lives, spirit guides, angels, and God in general. In reading this book I found myself smiling and nodding my head in agreement with much of what Ms. Stirling wrote. However, she gave me insight into some areas that I had not considered before. This book will make you think and delve deeper into your beliefs. I recommend this book to anyone who yearns for enlightenment.
