The dark trim and steel nib totally make a difference from the "original". To syringe fill it, you need to unscrew the vac fill knob, then you need to unscrew the section. You can then use the syringe to fill the pen, screw the section back on and carefully close the vac knob to make sure ink doesn't burp. **Q: I can't open the barrel on the P20 to insert the cartridge. This is by far my favorite. In fact it is in my top 3 fountain pens that I have. Just holding this pen, I want to write. I am just sad I don't have more to write down. The frosted black demonstrator body looks and feels great. The black nib and accents looks fantastic. The pen holds a lot of ink. The ef nib writes great. Smooth with a bit of feedback. Feels nice in the hand, some weight which sits between the fingers and crook of the hand.
