Looks identical but works better than the original
I got this to replace the battery in my Dyson V8 Absolute when it stopped charging, and I’m honestly impressed. It looks identical to the original, but the power is stronger and lasts longer, plus a lot cheaper. The original was underwhelming since the beginning. I saw some reviews concerning about the battery life, so I will provide an update if anything changes, but for now, I’m happy with it. Definitely recommend if you need a solid replacement.

Not that great
Battery was easy to change and worked well initially. After 14 months it no longer has a charge and the vacuum will not run longer than a few seconds

Restored Functionality of MAX Suction!
Purchased this replacement battery for my Dyson V8 Absolute.The replacement battery arrived quickly. The battery was very easy to install using the included screwdriver tool (reused the screws from the original housing as the package was missing the 3 screws shown in the listing's photo). The cleaning tool & filters were a nice addition, too.After swapping out the batteries, I had no difficulties with the vacuum fitting on the existing charging base. Charged it up and tested it out.I was able to use the vacuum on the MAX suction setting for at least (if not more than) 5 minutes. Prior to installing this replacement battery, my Dyson V8's MAX suction had dwindled to where it would shut off after approx 15-18 seconds of use.I've only had it for a few days and will definitely update this review if anything changes in the battery's performance. In the meantime, I'm very happy with my purchase.

Useful battery, simple to install

The right battery for my Dyson V8
The battery was easy enough to install. Just remove the 3 screw to remove the old battery, place the new battery in place and replace the screws. It came with new filters which I replaced the old ones with and washed the old filters. Nice to have an extra set. Supposed to come with 3 new screws, but my package did not have any replacement screws, had to use the old ones. The battery works great and has enough power for me to vacuum the whole apartment. This was a wise purchase.

Won't charge after 2 months and very little use
Bought and installed and used it maybe 3-4 times in 3 months. When it was taking a charge it did not last long at all ~ 5 min. Now battery will not charge at all.

Better than the original battery
Has a charge level indicator where the original battery did not. Worth the price. Fits a little more snug in the wal bracket, but it does fit and charges.

Waste of money!
I didn’t bother buying the Dyson battery because my sister had already tried a Dyson replacement battery on her Animal vacuum & it didn’t last any longer than the off brand. This battery worked for four months. Returned from being out of town for a week & battery will no longer charge! So fed up with Dyson products… time to look for new brand of sticker vac!
