Kudzu Gypsy: A Novella Paperback – 8 April 2014

What a great story! I love southern mysterious when they are full of twists, turns and a little "weird". This book fit the bill. Throw in an old love interest and I am happy. Well written, flows easily. Tried to find more by this author, but nothing yet. Looking forward to more from her!

August is real. Reality grows her up fast and the pain eats away. This story is as gritty as it is real. I liked it.

A bit of mystery, some family and romantic drama, and a little southern humor. Not fantastic but a nice read.

My silly title for the review will match nicely with the reason I gave this book 5 stars. I don't know why. No specific aspect did it. Maybe because a good story was told and wrapped up in 100 pages. Kudzu Gypsy has inspired me to try to write a novella.

Read this in one sitting. A good mystery bound up with a very small, believable touch of paranormal. A southern girl comes home for a funeral to a years old family puzzle. I wish it had been longer.

Needs to be a follow up or something . Did they get married? Did the haunting stop? Kinda leaves you hanging , but what can you expect for 100 pages.

I read this on a beautiful spring afternoon on my deck and loved it! I adored the voice of the main character and all the colorful metaphors she uses. It's a quick read so it's the perfect afternoon escape from the daily grind. Would pair well with sipping sangria on the beach and leave you wanting more. I hope to see the author write more!

Better to read about the south than be there in the summer. So well written I could see the sky and smell the rain. Kelly Yonce is one check of a descriptive writer.

Really enjoys the pace of this book and the character development. I felt I knew them. I also loved the references to the lowcountry.

What a good read. Left me wanting more. Found myself sweltering in the humidity right along with August. Sure hope that the author will consider basing another book in Charleston as well.

Kudzu Gypsy is such a great read! The southern setting is nostalgic and beautiful. I love August, who is charming and whitty and made me laugh at times!

of the South and ghosts is just lovely. I'm from North Florida, and the descriptions here are spot on. Made me hungry for grits. The ghosts here have a place and a reason - to show a young woman the meaning of love and family. When you have a quick hour or so, this is an excellent way to spend it.

This is a fantastic novella. Such a quick read and it surprised me in the end. Being from Charleston the characters are believable and SO southern. This book is full of charm! Loved it!!

A fun book to read. I love the heroine! If you like quirky and southern you will enjoy this. My only problem was I wish there was more.
