They are a very pale cream or off white if you prefer; they're quite heavy, and the lids come off very easily with one hand without a fight(a good thing!) I've had nice comments about them too. They came well packaged and protected. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase as they look well worth the money I paid for them. They are good quality products. They would suit both the modern or traditional kitchen as they have a classic look to them.
