Body Bags [Blu-ray] [1993] [US Import] [Region A] [NTSC]

Directed by two legends of horror cinema John Carpenter and Tobe Hooper (both of who make cameo appearances along with the late Wes Craven), Body Bags is a horror comedy film with three separate tales within the overall film. Carpenter, as a morgue attendant, hosts and recounts each 'Body Bag' that is present in the morgue including a serial killer, a hair loss treatment patient with a twist and a sports player with a bit of an eye issue. A host of different stars have guest turns such as Stacy Keach, Tom Arnold, Sheena Easton and Mark Hamill (yes Luke Skywalker).The film was supposed to test the waters for a series on TV (or sequel films) which would follow the same format of three separate tales recounted by a host (like Creepshow) but its poor run at the box office laid rest to those plans.While some previous versions on VHS and DVD have been cut this release on BluRay from Shout Factory includes the uncut version of the film, including a DVD bonus copy.

Excellent John Carpenter (& Tobe Hooper) anthology film from the early 90's.
