This smart plug works like a charm, and does what is expected.Follow the instructions to connect it to your wifi network (requires 2.4GHz wireless network) and then you can operate it via your mobile phone (Smart Life app). Advice to the adventurous souls that, like me, have extra security on their routers: if the smart plug can't connect to your wifi, it's probably due to extra router security (static IPs, Access Lists etc.).Once connected, you can turn the plug on/off from the app, you can set a countdown (after which the plug will turn off) or you can set a timer (like a schedule, to automatically turn the plug on/off on specific days and times). It can also be incorporated with IFTTT compatible devices. I have it integrated with my Arlo camera (via an IFTTT module) and connected to a floor lamp. When the Arlo detects motion and starts recording, the lights turn on. Pretty cool. :)There's also a physical button on the smart plug that you can use, so no need to open the app on your phone if you're standing close to the plug.In general I really like this product. The only inconvenience is that its shape is round and not rectangle, so if you have dual wall sockets it's probably going to block the second socket (at least for bulky power plugs and adapters). It's a minor thing for which I wouldn't take 1 star away, probably half a star.So my overall rating would 4.5/5. Awesome! :)

Works perfectly with Alexa on Echo dot. Setup was a breeze - just make sure you follow their directions. You have to install the app on your phone first and set it up, then go into Alexa and select it as a skill. Otherwise, it won't connect.You can rename the device to call it whatever you want - mine is set to "light" so I just say "turn on light". Alexa says "okay" and the light pops on.

I have not been able to make this plug work at all with my Alexa. It is supposed to be compatible.

Works really well with the echo dot. Will definitely recommend this to anyone who needs a smart plug!
