Motorcycle Petrol Engine Cylinder Car Compression Tester Kit Auto Tools

Arrived today and am happy enough overall and very happy with the value & price paid. It has a decent range of thread sizes including the M12 for Harley Davidsons which is why I needed this kit (my current very old and very expensive at the time kit doesn't have an M12 and it was cheaper to buy this than have an adapter made locally as currently overseas). The pressure release button on the gauge is not the best which is the only reason it doesn't get a 5 and if I was using this every day then I might have considered a top end kit but I am not, it will get used 3 times in relatively quick succession over the coming weeks and will then be parked up till next time so it is perfect for the required job. I bought this to check the compression on my V8 boat engine. It's well made, and I had no problem screwing the threaded end into the spark plug holes. Just don't do them up tighter than necessary or you'll struggle to get the adaptor out by turning its knurled edge. It's not something I'll use very often (I hope!), but it was well worth £12 to establish what was wrong with my engine.

Well without any problems, this item told me I had a severe problem with my 3rd cylinder. 1, 2 & 4 where giving a reading of 210psi whilst 3 gave a reading of 0psi.The pressure gauge is housed in a rubber protective jacket and for the price... one cannot complain. I've seen this set being sold for as much as £67.00.

Did the job I wanted at the time. When I used it a second time, the pressure gauge fell off!Close inspection showed that screw thread was too short and had been cross threaded - now useless.
