Short story, fantastic pillow:1. Sleeps cool2. Shredded latex is nice as you can change the shape of the pillow to support differently depending on how you sleep or even take some out to reduce size if needed.3. Puretree support is AMAZING. It speaks volumes to me when support is first off responsive, second off helpful and third even after a year of time since you bought the product take care of you. How many companies state there is a warranty and then fail you when you have problems? This one took care of me and I want to note that as it's unfortunately uncommon.Long story, this is a little bit of an up and down story so bare with me here.I have two of these pillows currently (one is probably going in the trash shortly). I bought my first one over a year ago. I was looking for a cool sleeping pillow that you could shape (shredded latex helps with that) and not just have a static ergonomic shape or something as some of the previous pillows I have bought have. I have bought many a pillow, memory foam, bamboo, with cooling gel, they all have their issues and mostly just sleep too hot for me. I was hoping this could be the pillow to finally help me sleep cooler at night.I immediately ran into issues with the first pillow. I had read reviews of a few people having bad odor issues with their pillows and that they would wash it or Febreze it and it fixed the issue. I figured there we only a few of those reviews, I would take the chance and if I got a smelly one I know how to fix it!. Well, I DEFINITELY got a smelly one, just horrible. I mean just like some horribly chemical smell I can't even begin to describe. I tried airing it out for a few days, made it better but definitely still there. I tried Febreze, didn't help enough really and I tried washing it but I have an agitator in my HE washer and well... that does NOT work out well lets just say that. (They state HE no agitator so, I knew beforehand I just figured I would give it a shot as I was out of options) Here's the problem, I LOVED sleeping on this pillow. Super comfy, sleeps nice and finally I finally sleep cool! You can adjust the amount of shredded latex in the pillow, you can "fluff" it so you position your neck and head how you like them and then it keeps that shape while sleeping! I LOVED THE PILLOW, but that smell.... I decided to just try and live with it. Even after over a year the smell still persisted, it would not go away. One day I stumbled upon the Puretree flyer that came with the pillow and it reminded me that it comes with a warranty. Now I DO NOT like to contact support, it's why I sucked it up for the first few months figuring the smell would go away and past the standard return period. I figured though that I do love everything about this pillow but the smell, maybe for once I'll reach out to support and ask them if there is some trick to removing the odor. To my surprise they responded back rather quickly and offered to ship me a brand new Puretree pillow to fix my issue! I gratefully accepted the offer and waited for the pillow hoping this time it would not smell like the one I already had.I can tell you right now, this second pillow I got from them is just FANTASTIC. The natural latex smell is far less pronounced then the first one and also has a softer smell which is much nicer and far more acceptable. The pillow is just like the first one I got, fantastic, just doesn't smell horrible. I could not be more happy. I seriously don't know why I didn't reach out to support earlier and instead slept on a smelly pillow for over a year.I WOULD buy this pillow again and would recommend this pillow to others.

I was so excited to get this pillow based on the positive reviews. However it's been a bit of a nightmare (pun intended!). If you like a high loft firm pillow, you might enjoy it. However, it was too high and firm for me so I thought I would take some of the latex out, as that is one of the benefits of the shredded latex. I can't believe what a mess this proved to be...the fill is more like latex 'crumbs', small pieces that no matter how hard I tried to be neat spilled out everywhere. It got all over me, my floor and all over my clothes in my laundry basket where I put the pillow case to wash. It's seriously everywhere and hard to get off because it sticks to everything. I'm seriously covered in latex! I have also had latex bits in my bed for days. Ugh. I tried really hard to make this an easy process. I put another pillow case over the open end to 'catch' the latex I wanted to remove, but it was a mess to no avail. I finally had to take a huge garbage bag for one last shot, but again a huge mess. I was able to get the pillow cover off but gave up on the rest of it. Not to mention it has had a very strong latex smell even after over several weeks of having it. This was my first shredded latex pillow, so not sure if they are all the same or if there is a better way to do this, although I can't imagine what that would be. Very disappointing experience. I'm giving it three stars because it is a high quality product but it's not for me. So back to my IKEA pillow for now until I find a better option.

This shredded latex pillow breathes incredibly well, is the perfect 'bounciness' that instantly flexes to weight as opposed to memory foam that takes time to mold and heats up. I did have to ask the company if they would send me a little more filling. I like sleeping on really firm pillows (I have broad shoulders and am a side sleeper generally). I also wanted it to be slightly higher than I want it initially since the filling will settle a little bit over time and wanted this pillow to last for a very long time. The company did make me pay for shipping, $10.74, which sounded pretty steep for sending one extra pound of filling. I did ask and they do fill initially to 4lb 4oz. But now I have the perfect pillow! The customer service was incredibly responsive, helpful, and seemed to genuinely care about my individual purchase.It is nice that doesn't make my head overheat, which was my concern with foam pillows I was also looking at. But it also has the bounce and flex that helps me get into a comfortable position with the pillow and actually be able to fall asleep right away. To anyone with the concern of sleeping hot, this is definitely a pillow to look into. This is my first pillow outside of the normal poly fill pillows and I certainly feel I sleep the same or slightly cooler with this pillow which is great.Another additional note is the latex smell is mostly gone after 2 weeks. If I sink my nose into it and really try to smell it, yes, I do still smell it a bit. But it definitely does not stink up the room anymore and I do not notice it anymore when going to bed. I am less than 25 years old currently so no, my sense of smell is not going bad right now either.
