Very nice, but not for my application
The yagi antenna was very nice and seemed to be well tuned. It picked up a signals from several blocks away in a neighborhood. It certainly did the job, but it wasn't quite what I was looking for so I returned it. I wanted to be able mount it outside where signals are much better, including on an RV roof at times (while parked). However, the coax was only a couple of inches long and the USB cable was not weatherproof. If they modified this a little, they'd have a much better product!Additionally, the tripod was not great. The weight of the antenna would cause it to slowly sink, even with the screws tighted on the tripod. With a weather proof cable and a better tripod, this would be a 5 star product. The antenna was so nice it was difficult to part with!

Great product for wifi enhancement
Works as expected. CD and instruction manual are clear and very helpful I. Setting up quickly. As most have mentioned previously, the tripod is not the most sturdy piece of equipment but does the job.

Receives only, overrated on distances.
This is NOT a repeater, only the antenna with a USB amplifier attached close to the 2" antenna lead. The included tripod is absolute junk, but the antenna will fit on most camera tripods that are more stable and don't fall over or move. I mounted mine on a vertical pole for home use, aimed through a window at the HotSpot I use. This antenna is very sensitive to direction and height angles. Meaning you will have to look for the WiFi you want and compare signal strengths. It works best outdoors, but it is not weather/water proof. I've had mine now for 5 years with no failures. It does have some cons: I improved the reception by adding a make-shift parabolic dish to the back of the antenna (an 8" diameter pan lid from the local thrift store). This helped some with the signal strength. It will see many more wireless signals and boost the power of receiving, but it is no where close to the claims in the ads. 100 feet or less is best to actually connect, but 1/4 mile is the max range I've found...but not with actual connections. You must have (Windows 7 and Ubuntu/Linux) at least 75% signal, and if more than 150 feet (outdoors) from the router, the speed will slow down and signal drops are common. Downloading is painfully slow. Now on that note, if you are near a Hotspot, outdoors (in good weather) like in a parking lot with Starbucks, McDonald's, etc. It does work well. Don't plan on many downloads without a nap while you wait. Streaming video is not at it's best due to speed loss. It does work well for most surfing needs, checking email, etc. But difficult if you need good reliability and speed. Still the cost vs. paying a monthly internet charge, is worth it to me. It comes with RaLink software, which works well. Don't expect to ever get any support from them or software updates. It will work with Windows XP/7, and with most Linux/Debian/Ubuntu releases. Linux does drop WiFi signals more often, sometimes every few seconds. This is a bug in releases since version 12.04, so Windows works better. I've not tried and MAC OS and can't comment on Apple. Android OS does not see the antenna at all. The Crane Super WiFi Repeater Kit should work with this antenna plug and play, but I haven't found just the repeater alone without their antenna. I suspect dual antennas could be used with a USB multiport adapter. This is about to be replaced with a Crane system, mainly for the repeater so I can connect all my devices free at home or on the road if needed. Otherwise this is a good antenna and can be easily improved with cheaper add ons. One note, if you need a longer cable of 30 to 50 foot, you will lose much of the signal due to cable length. As far as quality as mentioned above, zero issues with the amplifier and antenna after 5 years of daily use. As far as quality, made in Australia, and much better than the Chinese @#$% other people are pushing on us. It will last for years with little or no maintenance.
