Product Description Made from Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA), a water soluble green alternative to plastic, Flush Puppies are specifically made to dispose of dog poo down the toilet. You can also throw Flush Puppies in the bin and they'll biodegrade in the landfill (unlike those plastic bags). But Flush Puppies are more than just biodegradable, they are hydro-biodegradable, which means they dissolve in water. Each pack comes with three handy wallets, each wallet hold 20 flushable poo bags. Box Contains Each order comes with 3 x Flush Puppies Wallet including 60 Flushable Bags

Pretty nifty
These bags are PVA, as described, and are plenty big enough for what my large lurcher produces. The bags do not dissolve instantly, but they do dissolve. Try putting one in water and leave it for a bit and you can see the 'plastic' wrinkle and become thin, and eventually disintegrate. You don't want them to dissolve too fast or they would fall to bits from moisture in what you are picking up. I prefer this brand to another flushable brand I've tried, as the bags seem a little more robust and the pouch does a good job of keeping them dry but easy to get at.They are more likely to cause a blockage if you wrap the poo up loosely and get air into the bag - if you wrap it closely, this isn't a problem. If there is an air bubble, it's not a complete disaster, you can still flush but sometimes you have to either prod it with a stick or leave it for a bit to dissolve, which is a bit unpleasant. Once you get the knack of not creating a bubble, this doesn't seem to happen.I've been using these for my two dogs for over a year now with no plumbing problems. I wouldn't use them in a Saniflo loo, but they are OK for a normal one.I find them particularly useful when travelling with dogs and you don't know where the nearest poo bins are and don't want to fill a hotel or holiday cottage bin with poo! I also use them for clearing the garden because no pile of poo going into landfill, and no pile of stinky bags to store.

I thought this was a great idea until I learned about how many plastic items labelled 'flushable' cannot be flushed in the UK because our sewage plants don't have the right sophisticated machinery. I then put a Flush Puppy in a jar of water, and three days later it was still the same. I stopped using them . Recently I organised a group to have a guided tour of the Dorchester Sewage Treatment works where this fact was confirmed. They might be flushable in the US, but not here as yet. We saw a huge skip of that week's flushed wetwipes, panty liners etc waiting to be compressed and taken away for long term storage because they can't be recycled and the landfill sites have closed .

Fit for Purpose
Why do we need these I was asked when I explained how we can now flush our doggies dodo down the loo instead of our bin getting full of flys in the hot summers - well its a no brainer, dissolve perfectly when introduced to water, why we didn't get these years ago i never know

They Float not Flush
We liked the idea of this at first, but they really don't flush away very easily. I'd say it took on average 3-5 flushes to get rid of them completely. In the end we gave up with them and switched to regular biodegradable bags, that fit on our pooper scooper. I personally wouldn't recommend them,

I like the concept but they don't appear to really dissolve
I like the concept but they don't appear to really dissolve. initially I was really disappointed with them, but I've found that there is a knack to preventing air becoming trapped in the bag. So they do flush with just one attempt now, rather than the 4 attempts it took me the first time.

6/8 flushes to shift these...so...not environmentally friendly at all
Had high hopes for these but if you knot these the air inside makes them to buoyant to flush and even if no air they are taken 6/8 flushes each time so hardly environmentally friendly.... Gutted would have been great had they actually flushed easily..

Biodegradable
These are great, I had no idea they existed. I don’t flush them but they will degrade which is fab

These bags are okay but I wouldn't buy them again ...
These bags are okay but I wouldn't buy them again as they are quite difficult to actually flush (even without tying and trying to eliminate as much air as possible)
