I love this mug! First, it's just a good color (I got the blue one), shape and texture (I like the matte finish).I love being able to change up the message whenever I feel like it and post it to my IG or FB feeds. One day I can be the "World's Best Dad" and the next day I can just say HI to my IG followers! The app is easy to use, though I wish it was a little easier to use one handed... since you have to hold you mug and your phone at the same time. Normally it's not a problem, but sometimes depending on the conditions it would be easier to do it with one hand rather than put the mug down to type or edit the message... it could also be my smaller hands on a larger phone.I look forward to updates with the app to improve functionality and to add features... I mean how many coffee cups can you actually upgrade after purchasing one?

Awful application that will want all of your Facebook data including friends, email address..etc. If you attempt to unclick those options then the app will keep automatically selecting all data shared. Be very careful. Also very poorly packaged as the company uses a simple cardboard box--had it not been for Amazon it would have been damaged. The cup is overall simple and the idea is a unique office trick, but the software is very concerning. It looks benign but will want ALL of your Facebook access in order to work.UPDATE:I was contacted by a supposed representative from this company--but the aforementioned issues with the application's poor user interface and intrusiveness were not directly addressed by that person initially. If this is not a data mining product then why does it need email as well as all Facebook contacts? It will not let the app load if those are not ALL selected. Furthermore, I stand by my review. If the company can't tolerate constructive feedback for their product then it's even more concerning. No need to disparage me as an "untrusted buyer." As many dedicated Amazon buyers, we've purchased numerous products that are both great as well as bad. If this product is the latter due to the reasons I very clearly provided reasoning for then I'm going to leave a negative review. There may have been other products that were also poorly designed made by other companies and if that was the case then a 1 star review was also left. This review was not made to intentionally hurt someone or the company but left because I thought it was extremely frustrating that it allowed me to deselect my email and friend list AND if I did that it would not load UNLESS it had that data. Perhaps this can be reviewed? That may help the product interface. Thanks.

The HashMug is an innovative, creative cup / app combination that adds a bit of spice to my daily coffee drinking routine. Easy to use and had about a dozen of my friends asking "Hey that's pretty neat - how'd you do that?" In a world engulfed in a myriad of augmented reality / virtual realty products / services, the HashMug is not only the first VR coffee cup but it was expertly executed.In terms of the quality of the mug itself - it's fantastic. Sturdy and ergonomic. It's become my go to cup at work for the 3 cups of coffee I drink daily.I recommend it to any tech savvy, coffee drinker that appreciates adding a bit of VR to their daily coffee drinking ritual.

I was looking to buy a new mug of coffee after I broke my old mug and I came across this mug which has amazing reviews.The price difference between these mug and other equivalent ones was almost negligible so I decided to give it a try.I was very impressed from the quality of the mug but even more surprised at how much the AR idea improved the experience of my morning coffee.I think it will be a great idea as a family present for the holidays.

I was in the market for a nice looking coffee mug for work.The mug itself feels solid to hold and has a pleasing design.I wasn't sold on the AR initially, but I must admit, it's pretty cool and works surprisingly well!You can send messages to other HashMug owners, the messages are overlayed on their own mug, this feels like a revolutionary idea and has a much more personal touch than just sending a text.This would be a great present for friends and family!

This is a nice mug. Smooth texture, good handle, nice color, though a bit smaller than I had envisioned. What concerned me about this mug is there is no markings on either the mug or on the box that tells where it's manufactured or what it is made of or if it is dishwasher/microwave safe or who made it, NOTHING. Seems very strange to me.

Love this mug! It is such a fun and different way to share a message on IG. The app is free and it takes less than a minute to create a custom saying on your images and posts seamlessly to FB or IG. It also arrived two days earlier than first estimated.
