Set up back to back and tested several times before installation. Sketchy software! It's impossible to get the master to log onto set up menu consistently. Even though I'd set up and had it working back to back & it actually worked, when installed the download was ok, but the return path was very, very slow.Operating instructions didn't match the set up menu in actualityNo web site listed in the 2 page instruction to update the software/firmware.A waste of money. Bought another link, & it was flawless.

I bought this to transmit a signal across the street (about 200ft away). It's a good wireless bridge for the price.The unit comes in basic packaging and no cables. You will need to supply yourself with the necessary ethernet cables. Installation of the hardware was easy - just screw it into the wall and connect to your POE adapter. The software setup was more difficult. There are instructions that come with the wireless bridge, but they're not very clear. You'll have to hardwire connect to the unit and set it to be an access point or function as a wired connection to something like a security camera.The settings are pretty easy to try once you log into the unit. Trial and error with the software is easy enough to get your settings going. I set mine to connect to my router at the destination home. Signal and transmit speeds are good at 200ft.The units themselves have a plastic housing. If you can, you should keep it out of direct sunlight as the plastic will become brittle. I didn't notice any real water protection on the unit. Again, probably best kept shaded/out of direct exposure to the environments.All in all, a good unit for the price. Tip - keep unit away from direct exposure to environments and have ethernet cables ready for install.

I just installed this wireless bridge yesterday. We have a barn that is located 1/4 mile from our home and we had a break in about two weeks ago. Since we live in the country we don't have good otions for wireless service. I thought for about $100 it would be worth trying this. I read many of the reviews and some people said this was hard to hook up. It is very simple and there are videos online that explain it set by step. After pairing the two units and getting them powered up, I was blown away to find out I now have FULL BARS of wireless service at my barn 1/4 mile away from my home. I installed a security system that alerts to my phone when motion sensor cameras pick up movement. This has been a game changer!

Set this up between my house and barn. Barn is 350 feet from back of house. Set sending unit up on dresser in bedroom at back of house. Receiving unit would not work at inside front of barn. 9Metal siding) Made a mount from a short section of 2” pipe and mounted outside of barn (with spacers) and mounted receiver on it. We are on DSL internet. We get 25-28mbs in house. Get same speed in barn. Time will tell, but I am very happy today.
